OK, I know there’s a lot of fake reviews out there but I’m a legitimate user. I have tried several other devices and they all failed when measuring my blood pressure. This is the first mobile device that actually works. Don’t delay if you have blood pressure concerns get this band now it’s been terrific. There is a set up. So you need to be patient to go through the set up. But if you follow the process, their algorithm works very well. I ran this side-by-side against two other blood pressure pressure cuff monitors just to make sure - this thing is within a few points.. Cheers to the Hilo team for getting it right and not selling us another snake oil device. FYI, I tried Apple Watch. I have tried Hume. I have tried the wrist cuff, which works good but is cumbersome and this thing is super comfortable and does everything I wanted to do.. Also, I can connect to Apple Health and I even can share the results with my doctor.

I have unstable blood pressure and it can be low or high. This makes it so easy to track at a glance and it’s perfectly accurate. Love it!!!
Latest version removes access to the full dataset

While the HiLo device is great and works well, I’m very dissatisfied with app at this point. When I originally got the device, the app made the full dataset accessible in the reports. This is very useful data so you can identify triggers for blood pressure spikes that you can no longer do because you only get to see averages now. Before, If you wanted you could build your own app or use the third party app in the store to push the granular data into Apple Health. Taking the general view that users and their doctors are too stupid to be able to use the individual data points is insulting. It’s fine to have a report that shows the averages, but there needs to an option to pull all the measurements. Further, in countries with GPDR, the removal of this and completely limiting of access to the full data set is itself illegal. I’m going to keep my review at one star until this gets fixed because this service is not inexpensive and my personal health data belongs to me, not Hilo. Make the data accessible again.

I sent mine back. Flaws included: the cuff that syncs with the wrist monitor that you wear all day is in accurate so it synced 20pts above my actual systolic. They advertise this as continuous BP monitoring but it’s not - it only gives you readings when you’re still and it gives you an average over that time period. Want to check your BP in that instant? Nope, it won’t do that! It also locks you into an annual subscription and for no real reason, there’s limited need for ongoing support, this is just a cash grab. Bottom line, this tech is headed in a good direction but this feels way to raw to take to market and ultimately too expensive with the subscription to be worth it. When someone comes up with a one-off purchase that gives me an instant read of BP on the app, I’m in.
