SwingIQ compares today's swing with your own best shot using the same club. Because if you have made that shot once, your body can make that movement. The only question is what you are doing differently today.
WHY COMPARING YOURSELF TO A TOUR PROFESSIONAL RARELY HELPS
No two golfers are the same: different build, different flexibility, different possibilities. What is perfect for a tour player need not be achievable, or even desirable, for you. Next to an ideal you mostly see how much does not match. Next to your own best shot you see differences you can actually adjust today.
FROM RECORDING TO ANSWER IN THREE STEPS
1. Film your swing. Ask a playing partner for a short video, or set your phone down and let the app start recording once you are in frame. An ordinary phone is enough: no sensors, no mat, no launch monitor.
2. SwingIQ finds the swing and the phases. The real shot is pulled out of the recording; practice swings and walk-ups are dropped. Your posture is tracked frame by frame and divided into the eight phases of the swing, with the sound of the strike as the reference point for impact.
3. See the difference from your best shot. Phase by phase, in plain language, you get to see where this swing deviates from your reference. Not a biomechanical report, but a few points to take into your next shot.
EIGHT PHASES TO PLACE THE DIFFERENCE
SwingIQ uses Jim McLean's 8-step model as a language for naming where in the movement the difference sits. Not to attach a score to it. "Your head comes up earlier through the ball than in your best shot" tells you more than a score of 72 out of 100.
IN 3D, FROM EVERY ANGLE
For your swing and your best shot, a 3D model of your body is built for each phase, ball and club included. Lay both over each other, orbit around them and see measuring lines at shoulders, hips, arms and legs, plus the path your club head travels. Tap a difference and the camera flies to the angle where you can see it, with a short explanation. 3D is part of the Pro plans.
WORKS ON THE COURSE, EVEN WITHOUT SIGNAL
Your swings, videos and analyses live on your device. On a course with one bar of signal everything keeps working; uploading happens as soon as you are back online.
