more More Variety, Week to Week
Your meal plan now changes more from week to week — even on a repeat day
type (like your weekly "Balanced Day"), you'll get a different combination
of meals instead of seeing the exact same plan again.
Plus small under-the-hood improvements to keep things running smoothly.

New: Ayurvedic Daily Remedies
DietMantra now suggests time-of-day Ayurvedic remedies based on your medical
conditions — like fenugreek water for diabetes or garlic for high cholesterol —
woven directly into your daily meal plan at the right moment (morning,
mid-morning, or evening).
- Personalized to your conditions, placed in the right slot of your day
- Now also supports Hypothyroid as a trackable condition
- Pick your own remedy from a small curated pool, or let it rotate for
variety — your choice, right from Today's Plan or your Profile
- A small leaf icon and tip label show you why each remedy is there
- Also searchable in Log My Own — find remedies by condition (e.g. search
"cholesterol") if you track meals manually
Plus small fixes and improvements to keep your plan running smoothly.

Data Diary (Log My Own)-
Added new searchable foods: Chick-fil-A, Popeyes, Dunkin', Five Guys, Panda Express, Culver's, and Sweetgreen, plus hydration/beverage brands like Gatorade, Powerade, BODYARMOR, Liquid I.V., Celsius, Prime, Pedialyte, and vitaminwater.
Guided Plan meals-
Vegetarian plans now get meaningfully more protein and less repetitive carb-heavy filler (roti/rice/dal showing up over and over).
Added sprout variety — sprouted chana, matki usal, mixed sprouts, sprouted moong — as high-protein options in vegetarian and vegan plans.
Smarter top-up logic that trims an extra roti/rice portion when needed to make room for a protein-rich addition, so plans hit protein targets instead of quietly overshooting on carbs.

This update focuses on accuracy and food logging:
- Allergy safety fix — the app now correctly filters out flagged allergens across all meal suggestions, including protein shake swaps that previously could slip through unchecked.
- New: Log My Own mode — search our food database, log any item (including custom entries you add yourself), and track it right in Today's Plan, Weekly Plan, and History, with streak support.
- Smarter search — fixed an issue where searching branded items (e.g. "Paneer (Amul)") wouldn't reliably surface the right match. Search is now punctuation-insensitive and ranks results by relevance.
- Bigger food database — added hundreds of new items covering diaspora staples (cottage cheese, kefir, and more), popular restaurant chains (McDonald's, Starbucks, Subway, Chipotle, Tim Hortons, Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, Panera Bread, Domino's), and US & Canadian grocery brands.
- Nutrition accuracy fixes — corrected calorie and macro totals on several combo meals (e.g. Amritsari Fish Fry + Roti) that were previously understated.
2.7 Jul 27
- Fixed an issue where the Weekly Grocery List wouldn't generate for some users
- Minor stability improvements

Weight gain plans now include a dessert at both lunch and dinner, with richer options to match your goal.
New: Logging a cheat meal now automatically lightens tomorrow's plan — reduced calories, more protein, no dessert.
New: Share feedback anytime from the Home screen (one submission per week).
New: 3D themes introduced and default to 3D themes.
Improved meal recommendations for common dietary needs, including diabetes-friendly, PCOS-friendly, thyroid-friendly, low-sodium, heart-healthy, and gut-friendly options.
Renamed confusing day types for clarity, and fixed Refeed Day and High Protein Day so they properly apply their calorie and protein boost.
Fixed an issue where your calorie target could show different numbers across screens.
Fixed an issue where your daily calorie total could run higher than your target.
Fixed an issue where protein shake calories weren't counted correctly toward your daily target.
2.5 Jul 21

Set your own daily eating window, and your meal plan adapts automatically — meals outside your window are hidden, and your calorie and macro targets recalculate to match. Fully optional and off by default; turn it on anytime from onboarding or your Profile settings.
More Authentic Regional Meals for Fish Only Diets -
If your diet preference is set to Fish Only, you'll now see real, region-specific fish dishes matched to your preferred cuisine — like Kerala Fish Curry, Bengali Macher Jhol, or Maharashtrian Bangda Masala — instead of the same generic list for every region.

Grocery List — Share & Export
Share your weekly or daily grocery list straight from the app — opens your phone's native share sheet (WhatsApp, Notes, Mail, etc.) so you can send it to yourself or take it to the store.
Grocery List — Real Ingredients, Not Dish Names
The grocery list now breaks dishes down into actual shopping items instead of just listing meal names. "Rajma Chawal" now shows Rajma, Rice, Onion, Tomato, Garam Masala — across 400+ mapped dishes, including regional and festival/fasting foods. Also fixed: fasting-day placeholder text no longer appears as a grocery item, "or"/"with" combos (e.g. "Brown Rice or Kodo Millet Roti") now split into separate items, and a few miscategorized items (Salad, Vegetables, Veggies) now file under the right section.
Create Account — Name Fields
Signing up with email now asks for your first and last name (previously only Apple/Google sign-in captured this). Matches your profile everywhere your name is shown.
1.9 Jul 6
Track your consistency with new Habit Streaks — DietMantra now tracks daily streaks for meals logged, water intake, and plan completion, right on your Home screen, so you can see your progress at a glance and stay motivated to keep your streak alive.
Get a clear picture of your week with Weekly Nutrition Insights — a 7-day report showing your average macros, best and worst days, a day-by-day heatmap of completed meals, and your weight trend, so you always know how the week actually went.
We've also added Festive & Fasting Mode. On vrat and fasting days, your meal plan automatically switches to fasting-appropriate foods — kuttu, sabudana, sama rice, makhana, paneer, and more — with accurate calorie and protein totals for the day, including protein shakes. Plus smart reminders: DietMantra can now nudge you the evening before a fasting day begins, and a quick prompt during setup (with a gentle reminder on Home) makes it easy to turn on meal-time notifications so you never miss logging a meal.
Also included: more accurate calorie and macro counts across meals and combo dishes, and a fix for an issue where Post Dinner could occasionally show the wrong calorie total.
Added a Partner Dashboard where our affiliates can track their referral activity and rewards right in the app.
1.8 Jul 4

**What's New in v1.6**
Regional food for all 13 regions — your meal plan now includes authentic local cuisine for North Indian, South Indian, Punjabi, Gujarati, Maharashtrian, Rajasthani, East Indian, West Indian, Kerala, and all four diaspora regions (Indo-US, Indo-UK, Indo-Aus, Indo-Canada) across breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Smarter calorie tracking — the calorie estimator now correctly handles compound meal strings like "Kerala Fish Curry + Red Rice + Papadam". Over 70 new Indian foods added to the lookup table including regional breads, rice varieties, Bengali, Andhra, Maharashtrian, and Kerala dishes.
Better protein targets — mid-morning now includes high-protein options (egg whites, Greek yogurt, soya chunks) instead of low-protein fillers. An iterative top-up system adds protein across multiple meal slots when your daily target is not met.
Macro progress bars — the daily summary card now shows your protein, carbs, and fat as visual progress bars against your personal targets, making it easier to decide what to add or adjust in each meal.
Bug fixes — eggetarian and fish-only users no longer see chicken or mutton in meal plans. Post-dinner no longer shows incorrect calorie counts when the slot is empty. Duplicate rotis appearing in the same lunch slot have been fixed. Protein shakes no longer appear as meal card items.

Smarter Meal Customization — The Customize option in each meal card is completely redesigned. Remove suggested items you don't want, add extras from a curated list, and watch your meal calories update live. Each item now shows its calorie value.
