Your understanding of each person you manage keeps changing. Continuum gives that understanding a private place to live, on your Mac, visible only to you.
**What you do in Continuum**
You write beliefs about the people you lead. A belief is a plain sentence about how someone works: "Maya does her best work with autonomy." You set how sure you are (uncertain, likely, plausible, or certain) and where the belief stands (active, watching, resolved, or discarded). When your read changes, you revise it. The old version stays underneath, so you can see how the read formed and what moved it.
As you write up a 1:1 or a passing moment, you tag the signals in it, each with a direction: pressure trending up, ownership holding steady, or whatever fits how you already think about people. Each tagged signal flows into the beliefs it touches, nudges your confidence, and leaves a note about what changed. A signal fades over time unless you notice it again, so what surfaces is what's current.
Open the app and it shows you where to look first: beliefs that have gone stale, people you haven't written about in weeks. When a person's signals look like they're shifting, it flags the change as a nudge to go look.
**What Continuum does not do**
It does not score people. There is no number rating anyone. It does not produce reports, sync to the cloud, or feed into an HR or performance process. Nothing is shared with anyone and there are no shared dashboards — teams here just group your own people, privately.
Continuum runs locally on your Mac. Your observations and your reasoning stay where you wrote them.
**Who it's for**
Managers who treat understanding their people as something they do continuously, not twice a year in a review template. It helps most if you manage a handful of direct reports and have felt the gap between what you notice and what you can recall when it counts.
