KAGAKU

See chemistry before formulas

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

See chemistry come alive: 118 elements, 3D molecules, flame spectra, titration curves, the Daniell cell, gas-law particles — all interactive, all visual. KAGAKU is a visual-first educational app for learning chemistry through direct interaction with simulations. The 10th installment in the SUUGAKU / BUTURAKU / DENRAKU / HARAKU / NETURAKU / SEIRAKU / KORAKU / RYORAKU / RYURAKU / KAKURAKU series. This time the theme is "chemistry." Ten core topics from high-school to introductory-university level, all delivered through beautiful animations and hands-on manipulation. [10 Features] ▶ Periodic Table All 118 elements color-coded by category. Tap any element to see its atomic number, mass, electron configuration, and electronegativity. ▶ Atom Structure Animated Bohr model. Watch electrons orbit quantized shells for 13 representative elements (H through Cu). ▶ 3D Molecules 12 molecules rendered as ball-and-stick models: water, methane, ammonia, CO₂, ethanol, benzene, ethylene, acetylene, glucose, and more. Drag to rotate, or let them auto-spin. ▶ Chemical Bonds Visualize ionic, covalent, and metallic bonding. Electronegativity difference auto-classifies the bond type; animations highlight the distinct electron behavior of each. ▶ Equation Balancer Six reactions: methane combustion, iron oxidation, water synthesis, Haber process, photosynthesis, and neutralization. One tap reveals balanced coefficients plus an atom-count check for each element. ▶ Flame Test Li, Na, K, Ca, Sr, Ba, Cu — watch each element burn with its signature color above a Bunsen burner, alongside the emission spectrum with wavelength labels (nm). ▶ Acid-Base / pH Real-time strong-acid / strong-base titration curve. Switch between BTB, phenolphthalein, and methyl orange indicators and see color change with pH. ▶ Electrochemistry Animated Daniell cell. Electrons flow through the external circuit, Zn²⁺ and Cu²⁺ ions drift in the solutions, EMF 1.10 V is displayed live. ▶ Gas Laws PV=nRT particle simulation. Freely change temperature, volume, and particle count and watch Brownian motion drive wall collisions — the source of pressure. ▶ Organic Chemistry A visual field guide to alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatics, and functional groups (-OH, -NH₂, carbonyl). Eight representative molecules you can rotate in 3D while learning their properties. [Features] • Formula reference sheet on every screen • Live values and equations • Japanese / English support • Dark mode / Light mode • Clean, intuitive UI • Only a small banner ad at the bottom [Recommended for] • Students studying high-school chemistry • Anyone wanting to intuitively understand reactions and molecular structure • Teachers looking for interactive teaching materials • Anyone rediscovering the beauty of chemistry
