Battles are properly competitive now. Every battle runs on a countdown, both players get the same five questions, and scoring happens on our servers - so a result is a result. Rematch anyone who beats you, and a no-show forfeits instead of leaving the match hanging. Run out of hearts and you'll see exactly when the next one arrives, plus three ways to keep going: practise your mistakes, spend gems, or go unlimited with Pro. Gems are real. Earn them from daily challenges, finished lessons, streak milestones and battle wins, then spend them on heart refills, streak freezes and streak repairs. Your streak now follows your own timezone rather than resetting at the wrong hour, and if you lose one you have 48 hours to restore it. Search the whole catalogue from the Learn tab - every subject, topic and set of notes - and find friends by name, not just by exact email. Leagues reward effort: you climb by earning XP, not by showing up. Plus: nothing is lost if you leave a lesson by accident, screens refresh when you return to them, and a slow connection times out gracefully instead of hanging.

Pick how many questions you want. Lessons and mock exams now let you choose 25, 50, or 100 questions before you start. Mock exams also show a "Real exam" preset that matches your subject's actual paper length (e.g. SAT 154, GCSE 30).
