GasTab is a FREE iPhone app that tracks what your driving really costs — trip by trip.
Plug in a BLE OBD2 adapter and GasTab records every drive: a route map, miles, MPG, gallons, gas cost, cost per mile, and driving scores.
GasTab has something for every driver:
• Watch every dollar at the pump — see gas cost and cost per mile for each trip, not a vague tank average.
• Drive for work — add a quick note, then use the optional web mileage tools to mark work trips and export a CSV for reimbursement.
• Love maps or exploring new roads — see a map of every drive, spot where you took a wrong turn, and relive the trip to Grandma's house.
• Eco-driver or hypermiler — compare MPG on the same routes and learn to drive more smoothly.
Your trips stay on your phone by default. Web upload is optional and under your control. Lifetime web access is free for early adopters like you.
You need:
• iPhone with GasTab from the App Store (iOS 26.2 or later)
• BLE OBD2 adapter (tested: OBDLink CX, Veepeak OBDCheck BLE, Vgate iCar Pro BLE)
• Gasoline or hybrid vehicle with an OBD2 port
Note: OBDLink CX often does not work reliably with many GM and Ford vehicles — a Veepeak or Vgate is the safer first buy there.
