Images are going live and more added every week: diagrams and visual references across the app. The same deep critical care answers, now easier to see. 7-day free trial. ICU Advantage Rapid Reference is the clinical reference and resource for anyone working in critical care and caring for critically ill patients. Built to help you understand the complexity of critical care topics and concepts, not just look things up and forgetting, while also giving you an extensive collection of tools right at your fingertips when you need them. From Eddie, the creator behind the ICU Advantage YouTube channel, trusted by more than 950,000 nurses and critical care professionals worldwide. FOR THE WHOLE CRITICAL CARE TEAM Nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, residents, attendings, advanced practice providers, and anyone and everyone who takes care of critically ill patients. Whether you're new to the unit or have been running codes for twenty years, Rapid Reference is built to meet you where you are, give you deep clinical understanding, the tools and resources you actually need, and to help you keep learning and growing. WHAT'S INSIDE • Organ-system-based reference across cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, renal, GI, endocrine, and more • Ventilator modes, settings, and troubleshooting • Hemodynamics, MCS support, Trauma, Burns, and even OB related critical care • Labs, ABGs, and acid-base walkthroughs • Equipment, procedures, and bedside tests • Drug references with indications, common dosing, medication deep dives, and clinical pearls • Calculators to get values quickly, with full explanations of what they do • Easy-to-use scoring systems to select criteria and get scores fast • Interactive emergency and resuscitation protocols you can zoom through visually or follow step by step • Quick Lookup for lab values, abbreviations, and terminology • Search built for the way critical care clinicians think • All available offline once the content is synced! • So much more! BUILT TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND, NOT JUST LOOK UP Every topic is written to actually teach, not just summarize. Same philosophy as the ICU Advantage YouTube channel: take something genuinely complex, break it down into pieces that make sense, and leave you knowing the "why," not just the "what." When you need a quick review or refresher, the Rapid Reference for each content area surfaces the important, high-value information for quick access, with links to dive deeper into the parts you need. DESIGNED FOR CLINICIANS Clean, readable, and beautifully rendered. This doesn't just feel like reading a textbook on your phone. Elegantly designed to not just look great, but to easily navigate the huge collection of resources. And it stays readable in dark mode or light mode, on iPhone and iPad. Works fully offline, so it is there when the network is not. Bookmarks and favorites for the topics you come back to. No ads, no social feed, no distractions. Just the information you need, organized for quick access and the way you think. HONEST ABOUT WHAT THIS IS Rapid Reference is a reference and education tool deigned for health care professionals working in the ICU. It is not medical advice, not a diagnostic device, and not a replacement for your institution's policies, procedures, the laws and regulations of your licensing governing body, or the orders of a qualified prescribing provider. Always defer to your local protocols and clinical judgment. TRY IT FREE Every new account gets a 7-day free trial with full access. After that, $15/month or $129/year. Cancel anytime. Built with care by critical care clinicians and the ICU Advantage team. Questions, feedback, or something we can make better? THE BIG ONE!! Reference images are making their way into the clinical content! The first images are HERE and more being added every week! The last update laid the groundwork and now they are live! - 195 figures across 150 topics so far: chest films, CT and echo images, arterial and capnography waveforms, ICP tracings, and labeled anatomy. Tap any figure to open it full screen, hide or show labels on anatomy, and switch on annotated overlays on scans. - Rhythm Identification now shows a real 6-second ECG strip for EVERY rhythm, drawn on graph paper you can actually measure. Rhythms that make sense side by side are swipeable comparisons, like Wenckebach vs Mobitz II or coarse vs fine VF. - Those same strips now appear in 21 more places across the app, from ACS and post-op arrhythmias to the ACLS tachycardia sets, so a rhythm looks identical everywhere it shows up. - The Rumack-Matthew nomogram now displays right inside its calculator. - More images are being added all the time and they arrive through content updates, no app update needed. Faster in a code - In the arrest protocols, steps that say to work the H's & T's now open the H's & T's list with one tap. Defibrillation and High-Quality CPR have the quick-access tab too. Find labs by the names you use - Old or regional names (SGOT, SGPT, GGTP), brand names for drug levels (Keppra, Dilantin, Prograf), and everyday shorthand (H&H, chem 7, coags, alk phos) now work in search. Panel names like "LFTs" pull up the whole panel. Polish and fixes - Score summaries on scoring tools line up cleanly and show clearer category names. - Image captions are centered and easier to read full screen. - Pull-to-refresh and Check for updates now always fetch the newest content. - Fixed a subscribe screen you could get stuck on if your subscription had lapsed. - Content updates too: the trauma primary survey now teaches xABCDE per ATLS 11, medication concentration corrections, VLDL added to Lab Values, and more. These arrive on your next content sync. Keep the feedback coming! So much of this update came straight from what you all reported. Thank you so much to all of you who have caught things and made suggestions to help to improve Rapid Reference!!!
