• Scan a receipt instead of photographing one. Kin finds the page, straightens it, evens out the lighting and lifts shadows, and carries its own light for dim restaurants. • Make a receipt with no signal. Every receipt now keeps a history — who added an item, who claimed what, and when it all changed. A repeating receipt can skip a single period without stopping the series. Search the participant list when you're adding people to a receipt. Fixed sheets that opened as a sliver or ignored your first tap on Android, and a few that sat at the wrong height on iOS. Tidied the date wheel and the spacing on the receipt screen.

Notifications now have their own tab, badged with whatever you haven't read. Repeating receipts — set a bill to repeat weekly, monthly or yearly and Kin creates it on schedule, with the same people and the same split. Duplicate any receipt in one tap from the receipt menu. New accounts now pick up the currency of where you actually are. Date pickers and switches now look like Kin on every phone. Fewer unexpected sign-outs, faster receipt loading and a steadier connection. Notifications are grouped by date now, with a calmer row and a single row that tells you who owes you instead of one per person. Tapping a row highlights it instead of fading the content out, so lists feel quicker everywhere. Guests — add someone to a receipt before they have an account, and link them to their real account once they join. Recording a payment is simpler: tick the receipts you're settling and the amount fills itself in. Plainer wording throughout, with "Left to split" and "Paid" replacing the old unclaimed and settled language.

Payments now say what they paid for. When you record a payment, choose exactly which receipts it settles. Your payment history shows what each payment covered, and your balance shows what's still open on each receipt. When you and a friend owe each other on different receipts, one payment now clears both sides at once — so nothing is left hanging open once you're square.
