CUSTOM CODING FRAMEWORKS Define your own coding scheme using any established or original framework. Add your codes, write definitions, and set a master analysis prompt. DeCiphr's AI applies your framework precisely to each image — with the option to restrict the model to your codes only (Strict Coding Mode), so no general AI assumptions contaminate your analysis. GEOSEMIOTIC ANALYSIS For researchers in linguistic landscape studies, DeCiphr includes a full built-in framework based on Scollon & Wong Scollon (2003), in a two-layer model: AI structural coding plus your own interpretive and reflexive coding. When you run an analysis, your image is sent to Anthropic's Claude Vision API only for that request and is not retained. Your API key, if provided, is stored only on your device.
