On Android the book scanner now reads barcodes held close to the camera. You can finish an import early, the reading calendar's day view is simpler, and a refused audiobook update now says why. New readers get a shorter intro.

Your reading separates each read, its copies and reading sessions. Preview corrections before saving, including changes to badges or bingo. Audiobook setup and timers keep the right units. Help has short walkthroughs. Retry interrupted reading and sharing with the original details. Android reads printed ISBNs, keeps bulk scanning open and shows matched books. Shared cards keep text aligned. New readers can leave feedback. Buying options include Libro.fm audiobooks.

Add books found outside Seekquel straight to a shelf. Retry failed lookups. See your tracked, owned and previously read editions in Your copies. Switch copies without losing reading activity. Browse books, collections and parts separately in a series. Read downloaded Help and release history offline.

New home screen widgets for book clubs and buddy reads: see your club's next meeting and how far along your buddies are. You can now chat in a buddy read before you start. Name a book, series or author in a post and a card for it goes with it. Messages has an Unread filter. Editions show their country and what is missing. The share composer has new fonts and text boxes you can resize. Plus fixes to share cards on iPhone and to Google profile pictures.

Comments now open over the post, with editing, undo and emoji reactions. Messages has a Groups tab for book club and buddy read chats, and chats gain swipe to reply and a retry for messages that fail to send. No barcode? Scan a photo of the cover instead. Browse and shelves can show only books with a quiz or flashcards. Book pages list verified store links for each edition.

Link an audio drama already in the catalog to the book it dramatizes. Shelf view now shows book spines with series numbers and a marker for books you are reading. iOS widgets keep book covers in colour when tinted. KOReader offers new add-on versions from the file browser. Fixed Google Drive connections that briefly appeared expired, offline finish dates, star-only ratings left behind after removing a book, and screen position when going back.

Rating a book you just finished takes one tap, and a review draft saves as you type and follows you to your other devices. Every finished read now counts in your yearly total, goals and Wrapped, rereads included. The reading timer knows about your other devices and offers to move a running session. Footnotes in the in-app reader open over the page. Book clubs can ask members one question at a milestone.

Talk to Seekquel through Siri and Shortcuts: start or pause the reading timer, log pages or minutes, and ask for your streak or today's reading without opening the app. On iOS 18 you can add reading controls to Control Center and the Lock Screen. Home-screen widgets now come in light as well as dark, and every app icon has a light version. Seasonal events: a card on your home screen invites you to the season's community goal, and finishing it keeps that season's theme on your account for good. You can also choose which badges show on your profile, choose whose activity the community feed shows, and read the catalog guidelines in one place.

YOUR READS: Each read now remembers which copy it was. Read a book in paperback and listen to the audiobook later and both stand in your history, each labelled with the copy it was, instead of one replacing the other. Audiobooks finished now counts what you actually listened to, so some totals will change to what really happened. Switching a book to another edition asks whether you are reading it again or correcting the record, and leaves finished reads with the numbers you recorded. E-READERS: Sync now on a KOReader e-reader gives you a short recap: today's minutes and pages, the chapter you reached and your place in the book. Seekquel's actions can go on a gesture or a button, so marking a book finished can be one swipe. A place you logged in a hardcover or an audiobook can come back to your reader, and a reader holding two copies of the same book now keeps a place in each. Highlights arrive in the colour you painted them. LIBRARY: A custom shelf can become a tag, and a tag can become a shelf. The twelve tags you use most stay on screen and the rest sit behind a search field, so a few hundred tags no longer push your shelves down the page. Books you added yourself can go in a tier list, and you can mark one of your own series complete when no more books are coming. IMPORTING: Goodreads and StoryGraph imports now bring every time you read a book, not just the last one. Where the export did not date an earlier read, it arrives undated rather than being dropped. CORRECTIONS: A correction you sent has its own page now, so you can see where it got to and reply to the librarian looking at it. Sending a cover photo asks what it should update and shows you the cover each choice would replace. ALSO: Long tag names are no longer cut off in your charts. Picking one of your own books out of Google Drive now finishes on both Android and iPhone.

READING: Read in one column or two pages side by side, set margins per side, search the whole book from the contents, take notes as you go, and highlight in five colors. Reading settings are one screen again. STATS AND STREAKS: Four new cards on your stats page: reading range, reading rhythm, your year in seasons, and when you read. You can also mark a day you read but never logged, and carry a streak over from before you joined. BADGES: Badges have been redesigned, each with its own shape, color and name on the front. Seasonal and holiday badges run for a set time and stay on your profile once earned. YOUR PROFILE: Add a one-line description, share a link that previews with your books instead of a blank card, and show visitors only the tabs that open onto something. FEED AND COMMUNITY: Post from the top of the feed, switch between Following, Everyone and Mine, and choose which kinds of card reach you at all. Every post carries its own menu, and a goal you set stays yours unless you post it. LIBRARY: Eight more ways to filter: genre, your own rating, when you read it, length, your reading queue, your garden, books you reviewed, and your own books. The same conditions build an automatic shelf. DISCOVER: If you are new, Discover now opens with books picked from the genres you chose, and suggests readers who picked the same ones. ALSO: Seekquel is now in Portuguese. There is a changelog in Settings, a support page gathering every way to reach us, threads on the feedback board, and you can write or suggest a recap for a series that has none.

Series pages can now show what happens in each book, for when you're picking a series back up. Anyone who has read the book can write it up; a Seekquel editor rewrites it before it goes live, and you are credited underneath. Also fixed: deleting one of your past reads of a book could leave the others mislabeled. They are numbered correctly now.

- Home screen widgets: Seven widgets you can add to your Home Screen: Currently Reading, Reading Streak, Up Next, This Week in Books, Daily Goals, Monthly Bingo, and My Shelf, which shows any shelf you pick as a row of covers. Settings, Widgets lists them all with the steps to add one. - New on the home screen: Three new cards: a daily strip, quick actions, and suggestions. Like every other card, you drag them where you want them and switch off the ones you don't. Home layout has the full list. - Your to-read pile: The pile now shows how long books have been sitting there, so the ones you shelved two years ago are easy to find again. - Also in this version: Portuguese, bringing the app to five languages. Your library and Browse scroll faster on long lists. You can delete your account from Settings, and see exactly what goes with it before you confirm.

- Adaptations: The films, series, games and stage productions a book became now sit on the book's page, and on the series page for a whole run at once. They take a star rating of their own, kept separate from the book. Mark one watched and it can appear in the feed alongside the book it came from. - Ask for a book: Say what you are after and other readers answer with real books you can shelve in one tap. This replaces polls, which only let you pick between options somebody else had written. - App icons: Appearance settings now has a launcher icon picker with 23 icons, so the app on your home screen can match the palette you read in. - Bingo: Past monthly cards are kept, so you can look back at the months you filled in. A spice rating now counts toward the month you gave it, instead of moving to the current card the next time you opened the book. - Your e-reader: Saved articles, manga chapters and stray files no longer pile up in Needs a look. They are set aside on their own, and there is a tab for them if you want to check one. When a book really is waiting on you, the app tells you, rather than leaving the number in Settings for you to find. Books your e-reader asks about are matched more reliably too, so one the catalogue already holds stops coming back as missing. - Calibre: Set books aside in batches instead of one tap each. - Smaller things: Badge, streak and goal celebrations wait until you have finished logging a book, instead of interrupting it. After a review, you can see what the read moved and where you stand.

- Reading trivia and flashcards: Test yourself on the books you've read. Daily quizzes, flashcard decks, and a mastery score worth sharing. - Make your profile yours: New avatar decorations and color palettes. Every theme has been reworked so text stays readable in both light and dark mode. - Find books faster: Search suggests titles, authors and series as you type. Browse by genre from the home screen, and filter your shelves by mood, length and more — several values at once. - Know what an edition costs: Price tracking per edition, shown in your own currency. - Coming soon: Books that aren't out yet now show a release date and a countdown, so you can line up what's next. - Book clubs: Announcements take comments now, and club owners can moderate them. - Your reading, your business: Every section of your profile honors its own privacy setting, and you can preview exactly what a stranger sees. - Ratings and reviews: Clear a rating without deleting the review, or remove both together — deleting a review now asks which you meant. Rating a book you'd shelved as Want to Read marks it as read. - Also in this release: A fuller form for correcting catalog details, save book images straight to your gallery, mark books you're interested in, and the world map opens on your own region.

- Your notebook: Every note and quote you save now lives in one place, sorted by book. Add tags, add a mood, pin the ones worth keeping close. Once a day Seekquel hands back a passage you saved. - Bring your notes with you: Import your Kindle highlights, or notes from Goodreads and Apple Books. Those three are read as they come. Seekquel matches each note to a book in your library, and nothing lands until you confirm it. - Pin your charts: Any chart you build can now sit on your stats page and your Home. - Know what's coming: Books that aren't out yet say so, with the wait in plain language and a way to follow for release news. - Take your data: Export everything from Settings.
