M2DX 1.7.14 • The Audio Unit plug-in's screen now grows with its window. When you enlarge the plug-in window in MainStage, Logic Pro or another host, the text, buttons and keyboard get bigger too, which makes M2DX easier to read and play on stage. Smaller windows look as before.

M2DX 1.7.13 • CUSTOM sounds now remember their controller settings (Pitch, Amp and EG for wheel, foot, breath and aftertouch) and EG MODE. Recalling a CUSTOM sound brings them back, in the app and in the Audio Unit plug-in, so each sound keeps its own breath setup. • CUSTOM sounds saved earlier keep your current settings when recalled. Save them once again to store their settings.

M2DX 1.7.12 • Mark I Depth now starts at ÷1, the brightness of the original DX7. If you never changed this setting, the Mark I engine now sounds brighter and its operator levels respond as on a DX7. A value you set yourself is kept. • Settings > More from hakaru now lists more of our apps.

M2DX 1.7.11 • New EG MODE switch in EDIT > CONTROLLERS. DX7 (default) keeps the authentic DX7 EG Bias introduced in 1.7.10. BOOST brings back the EG Bias of 1.7.9 and earlier: breath, aftertouch, wheel and foot controllers raise every operator, so playing harder adds brightness as well as level. • Your choice is kept with your controller settings.

M2DX 1.7.10 • EG Bias now works as on the DX7. Breath, aftertouch, wheel and foot controllers set to EG Bias affect only operators with Amp Mod Sensitivity: they are held down at rest and open to their programmed level as you play. Breath-controlled sounds such as SAX[BC1] now have a natural attack. • Sounds that use EG Bias may sound different. With the EG ranges at 0 (the default), nothing changes.

M2DX 1.7.9 • Mark I Depth is now available to everyone, and its range extends to ÷1 for a brighter sound. The default stays ÷5. • Audio Unit: CUSTOM sounds are restored when you reopen a project, and you can pick them from the host's preset list. • Audio Unit: MIDI Program Change now selects sounds. CUSTOM sounds use Bank Select 16; each tile on the LIVE screen shows its number. • Audio Unit: fixed cases where Logic Pro reset M2DX to the first sound. • Pro: switching the compressor on or off no longer clicks.

M2DX 1.7.8 • In the standalone app, Mono/Poly play mode is now remembered for each factory sound and each sound imported from a .syx bank. • Delete unwanted CUSTOM sounds from the LIVE screen after confirming their name. • Cancelling Restore Purchases no longer shows an error.

Fixed a crash when opening Apple Audio Unit effect controls while running the iOS version of M2DX on an Apple silicon Mac. The effect continues to process audio, but its custom controls are unavailable in this configuration.

M2DX 1.7.6 • Mac (iOS app on Apple silicon): opening EDIT no longer quits the app. On a Mac the EDIT steppers are now −/+ buttons; iPhone keeps the system control.

M2DX 1.7.5 fixes operator level editing. - Editing an operator's Level now uses the displayed DX7 0–99 value. Editing one operator no longer changes the other five, and level changes apply to sounding notes without retriggering them. - AUv3: MIDI CC 112–117 (OP1–OP6 Level) sent from the host now change the operator levels.

M2DX 1.7.4 adds new ways to shape your sound and improves performance controls. - Mono play mode with legato, Fingered and Full-time portamento, and semitone glissando. Custom presets can now save Mono/Poly mode. - New built-in Pro effects in the standalone app: P73 preamp, TwinFET 1176 compressor, and the six-engine DigitalReverb. Requires the optional M2DX Pro unlock. - Wheel, foot, breath, and aftertouch routing in the standalone app now stays in place when changing voices and across launches. - Choosing a main voice while TX816 LAYER is playing now preserves every layer's sound. - Improved MIDI Learn, sustain handling, AUv3 state restoration, and Pro purchase and restore feedback. Portamento controls are also available in Performance settings. Existing free features remain free.

This update focuses on stability and reliability — improvements to MIDI input handling, external AUv3 effect hosting, M2DX Pro purchase reliability, and startup audio robustness. No new features, just a more solid M2DX.

This update introduces M2DX Pro — a one-time unlock for the new layering and sound-engine features. Everything already in the app stays free. • TX816 LAYER: stack up to 8 patches per note, with save & recall of layered stacks (Pro). • FM Engine choice: Modern or Mark I, with Mark I depth control ÷2–÷16 (Pro). • Vintage 12-bit DAC emulation (Pro). • Voice Stack: up to 16× unison (Pro). • Restore Purchases and the M2DX Pro section live in Settings.

• Fixed: a preset's sound could subtly change just from opening Operator pages — viewing operators no longer alters the voice. • Fixed: editor presets could sound thin in some AUv3 hosts. • Fixed: a rare crash and stability issues around the on-screen keyboard and AUv3 hosting. • Improved: Operator Ratio now snaps to the classic FM ratios (1.00, 2.00, 3.00...), making precise FM programming much easier. • Various reliability improvements. Fixes an issue where presets could sound thin or incorrect when M2DX was used as an Audio Unit (AUv3) in some hosts (for example, AUM). Presets now play with their full, intended sound.

This update improves plug-in support and brings multilingual help. • AUv3: the M2DX plug-in now loads reliably in compatible AUv3 hosts. • In-app Help is now available in 7 languages, including how to find and import DX7-format .syx banks. • Reliability improvements.
