You earn Goin free from your Grift Score and arcade tickets, or you can grab a bundle. GRIFTY BAGS Open a bag for a random border, post effect or ultra-rare title from the Vault. You'll never get a duplicate, and your first bag is free. GREEMIUM Go gold: the Greemium border, title and Gilded look, monthly Goin, a free bag every month, early shop access, 10% off, and Auto Post. Buy 1, 3 or 6 months. It never auto-renews. Plus: a reels-style feed, longer captions, new opening animations, profile titles, a rebalanced arcade, and lots of polish across the app.

THANKSGRIFTING STARTS NOV 1 Gobble gobble. The turkey shows up November 1 — tap it to unlock the Cornucopia border, plus Feast grifts all month long. FAIRER ALL AROUND Grift Score, likes, daily posts and the arcade now count the same for everyone, every time. Seasonal events switch on and off on one shared clock, so nobody gets the turkey early. And Stop the Light now stops exactly where you tap. SMOOTHER & STEADIER Faster profiles, a tidier notification bell, smoother video in the feed, friendlier error messages, and a pile of stability fixes.

POST EFFECTS, NOW WITH AN ENTRANCE Post effects only show on the post you're looking at, and each one plays its own little "activating" animation when it appears — fire spreading out, ribbons unrolling, snow starting to fall and more. GOLDEN TICKET A new prize at the arcade prize counter: golden tickets raining down over your post with a soft golden glow. 5,000 tickets, available all year. Plus: see your own post's effect when you open it from your profile, a much more detailed Christmas tree, cleaner fire and string-light effects, and the 3x badge no longer covers the video icon.

POST EFFECTS Put an animated effect on your post — fire, falling leaves and more. Earn them by reaching Grift Score milestones, luck drops and seasonal events. Tap one again in the picker to preview it. 4 POSTS A DAY Everyone can now post 4 times a day. TRIPLE GRIFT, TRIPLED Likes on a Triple Grift post now earn triple Grift Score, and those posts wear a gold 3x badge. GRIFT OR TREAT Late October: every post gets Grift and Treat buttons. Get 100 of either on your posts to unlock a spooky post effect — or get both. ALL SEASON LONG ThanksGrifting arrives in November and the 25 Days of Griftmas in December, with new borders, effects, arcade games and more. Plus: a brand-new #1 crown, "Grifter since" on profiles, the ultra-rare Grape border, a roomier border picker, and smoother scrolling on your profile.

GRIFTOWEEN IS HERE All October, Grift goes spooky: a jack-o'-lantern feed with bats and fog, a brand new app icon, and the HAUNTED ARCADE — ghost-costumed robots, a pipe-organ soundtrack, and an October-only Spooky Season border. GRIFTOWEEN CANDY Put "Griftoween" in a post's caption to collect 3–5 candies. Fill your jack-o'-lantern to 100 to unlock the exclusive Candy Rain border — yours forever. HAUNTED GRIFTS Get grifted in October and it's haunted: spooky filters, ghostly sounds, cobwebs and bats. PICTURE COMMENTS Reply with a photo from your camera roll — one picture per post, so make it count. DOUBLE-TAP TO LIKE Double-tap any comment to like it. STREAKS, FIXED Post at least once every day and your streak goes up — no more losing it over a 24-hour gap. Tap your flame to see how streaks work. G ORBIT A new 3D orbiting border for every six months you've been on Grift. Plus: The Crew now shows only people you follow, unblock straight from search, Grift a Friend is now 100 tickets, and a faster, lighter feed.

THE GARAGE The Tokyo Grift border got a full rebuild - a slim blue coupe drifting twice as fast, with flames pouring straight off its rear tires. THE CROWN The #1 Grifter crown is now a real crown - cartoony, shiny, and wrapped around the top of your picture with a big blue #1. NEW BORDERS Two secret Blokes of Ill Repute borders joined the vault - one hand-made, one with a living, breathing nebula. If you know, you know. DUELS Clearer rules everywhere: the winner takes the pot times 1.5, the loser keeps half of what they earned - and forfeiting now pays out the same way instead of leaving you with nothing. GRIFTED! Fresh prank sounds: bonk, zap, vine boom, the banana slip, and more.

THE CREW The feed is now two feeds. Global is everyone; The Crew is just people you follow and the people they follow. Each one remembers your spot. COMMENT LIKES Like the best comments - and earn Grift Score when yours rack up likes. STREAK REWARDS Grift streaks now pay. Hit 50, 100, 200, and 365 days in a row for Grift Score and four clock borders, from Dedicated all the way to Annually Devoted. THE ARCADE Grift a Friend: 50 tickets pranks a friend's next post with a color filter and a goofy sound. Tokyo Grift: 1,000 tickets puts a race car drifting laps around your avatar. And duels finally pay out right - winner takes 1.5x the pot. THE CROWN The #1 grifter on the leaderboard now wears a golden crown border. Until someone takes it. Plus a new app icon, cleaner comment threads, and a sharper language filter.

THE FIRE LADDER Hit 5,000 Grift Score to unlock a blue flame border, and 10,000 for violet. The 1,000 border was rebuilt from scratch too — the gold ring is gone and your whole avatar is genuinely on fire now, flames and all. THE ARCADE GR-1FT deals from a real deck instead of a metal shoe, and his hand spreads out across the felt properly instead of vanishing behind it. BORDERS Bigger clovers on the Luck borders, and they sit over your photo now. Resized the ribbon border so it stops swallowing your picture. Retired the crown on The Creator. UNDER THE HOOD Clearer error messages when something goes wrong, and a long polish pass across the app.

THE TABLE GETS SERIOUS • DOUBLE DOWN in 21 SHOWDOWN — one more token, one more card, double the tickets. Take it face up, or face down and sweat out the reveal. • A natural 21 now pays the jackpot instantly. Good luck. • Every cabinet takes a real coin now — watch your token drop in. • Comments: up to 5 per post, plus a list of every post you've commented on. • See exactly who liked your posts. • The Top Grifters board now shows you in it.

Watch for bombs. • FAST FALL — 50 balls, 30 seconds, five spinning buckets. • 21 SHOWDOWN learns to SPLIT pairs — with proper card animations. • Every game and feature has a little (i) guide now. Tap around. • New Community Rules page + real moderation tools behind the scenes. • Feel: payout haptics, rolling counters, smoother scrolling, bug fixes.

Welcome to THE GRIFT ARCADE. The back room got a makeover: step through the neon door and spend your daily tokens on three arcade games — spin the PRIZE WHEEL (swipe to launch it!), go heads-up with GR-1FT in 21 SHOWDOWN, and test your timing in STOP THE LIGHT. Win tickets, trade them at the Prize Counter for Grift Score and exclusive profile borders. No wagering, ever — every play only adds tickets. Also new: a fresh neon app icon (the old ones are still in Settings), better reporting tools, and a pile of polish.

• Captions — add a short caption to your posts • All-new in-app camera • Fixed the camera not working when creating posts • New "Poker Table" app icon option in Settings • New ALL IN border for legendary posters • Grift streaks now expire 24 hours after your last post • Landscape viewing no longer changes your place in the feed • Smoother scrolling and faster uploads

What's new in 2.3.0: - DUELs now last 1 to 4 days — the challenger picks the length, and the receiver sees it before accepting. - New crossed-swords DUEL icon throughout the app. - Your profile now shows a "DUEL wins" count. - Cleaner feed: simpler author headers, a clearer "currently dueling" badge, and a smaller follow button. - Double-tap a post to like it. - Faster, more reliable video posting with proper video thumbnails. - Various bug fixes and performance improvements.

New in 2.2.0: • Push notifications — get pinged for likes, comments, replies, and new posts from creators you follow • A fully randomized feed — no more clumping by account • Grift DUELs — challenge someone to a 3-day head-to-head where every bit of score you both earn feeds a shared pot, and the bigger gainer takes it all • Grift streaks — a glowing gold day-count next to your name • Triple-score windows — a daily timed event for 3x score on your next post • Threaded comment replies • Smoother posting with a clearer upload progress bar

Polish and protection: • Deleting your account now fully deletes everything — posts, comments, reactions, follows, your profile. Gone means gone. • Earned the 1000 Grift Score border from likes alone? It now unlocks the moment you cross 1,000. • Faster app startup for longtime swipers. • The Girlfriend border got a glow-up: flowing ribbons and twinkling sparkles.

Fixes and new stuff: • Reactions you tap now always reach the post — no more vanishing likes. • Daily post slots count correctly again (evening posts no longer eat tomorrow's allowance). • New fullscreen photo viewer — long-press or double-tap any photo to pinch and zoom. • A satisfying pop when swipe-to-react lands. • Smoother account security flow. • A new ultra-rare animated border has entered the building…

Custom profile-picture borders! Pick yours in Edit Profile. Earn the 1000 Grift Score fire border by hitting 1,000 score, or grab the First 100 border by being one of our earliest 100 Grifters.

Grift 2.0.0 is a complete rewrite — same app, faster and snappier everywhere. What's new: • Server-side Grift Score. The score now lives on your account and is maintained by Cloud Functions. It's monotonic — posting and getting likes only adds, nothing ever takes points away. • Score tiers. Hit 500 Grift Score and you unlock a 4th daily post. Hit 1,000 and you unlock a 5th. • Peek-back gesture. Drag UP on the foreground feed card to slide the post you just swiped past back into view. Release and it springs back down — preview only, never commits. • Swipe-to-react now has visible feedback. With the Settings → Feed toggle on, swiping right shows a green hue + thumbs-up, swiping left shows red + thumbs-down, both fading in as you drag. • Three app icons. Pick Orange (default), Green, or Purple in Settings → Appearance. • Bouncing Grift wordmark splash on cold launch. • Compose tab opens straight on the video picker now. Photo is still one tap away. • Profile pictures now crop to a square before upload. • Posts auto-expire after 3 days (was 5). • Smoother video playback via a new preload pool — the next three videos initialize in the background so they start instantly when you reach them. • Pull-to-refresh on the "all caught up" screen. • Landscape mode — turn your phone sideways for landscape posts to fill the screen. • Sign in with Apple reliability fixes. Lots of under-the-hood improvements: server-side counters across the board, composite Firestore indexes for faster profile loads. Thanks for sticking with Grift.

• New: block accounts — tap the small hand icon next to Follow on any post, or use the ‘Block’ option in the user’s profile menu. Blocked accounts disappear from your feed in both directions • New: Grift Score — a per-user engagement metric (likes + posts × 5) shown on profiles, in the post header, and on the Top Grifters leaderboard • New: Settings → “Swipe to react” toggle (off by default). When on, swipe right to like and swipe left to dislike, with the previous animation. Otherwise swipes just advance the feed and reactions are tap-only • Fixed a bug where rapidly toggling between like and dislike could make the counts drift out of sync • Fixed the photo carousel showing the wrong photo on cards with more than two photos • Profile photo uploads now surface an alert when they fail instead of failing silently, and other users’ profiles refresh from the server when opened so a stale avatar can’t linger • Video posts are now capped at 1 minute (was 2) for faster, more reliable uploads • The post header is now opaque with rounded corners so the name, handle, and Grift Score are always readable

• Posts now expire after 5 days instead of 30 • Like and dislike counts now show totals from everyone, not just you • Profile pictures appear correctly across the app • Faster video loading; audio reliably stops when you scroll past a video • Posts you've already swiped past won't reappear after reinstalling or updating • Polished swipe-to-react animation and improved follow button on photo posts

Faster image loading on the feed, plus a fix that prevents already-seen posts from reappearing after app updates.

Smoother feed transitions — swipes between posts now feel seamless.

A bigger update with bug fixes, new features, and a smoother feed: • Feed scrolls more smoothly — posts no longer show a loading spinner on every swipe. • Follow button now responds reliably from the feed. • Profile edits propagate to other devices automatically. • New: tap your "Followers" count to see who follows you and follow them back. • New: search for accounts by name from the Me tab. • New: top creators leaderboard at the bottom of the Me tab. • New users now pick a unique display name on first launch. • Posts you swipe past today come back exactly once tomorrow, then retire. • Default composer tab is now Video — Grift is video-first. • Composer shows a real video preview before posting. • Captured photos and videos save to your camera roll automatically. • Accent color in your profile now retints buttons across the app. • Video sound plays regardless of the silent switch — based on volume only. • Posts are now edge-to-edge for an immersive feel. • You'll get a quiet notification when your daily post limit resets. • Outdated installs now prompt to update before opening the app. • Fixed video-record crash from v1.1.x.

Bug fixes: • Fixed a crash when tapping Record on the video composer. • Follow button now responds correctly when tapped on a post. • Posts you've already swiped past stay gone after closing and reopening the app. • Tap your own posts in the Me tab to see a full preview, not just the comments. • Long-press a post in the Me tab to delete it. • Fixed phantom "0 photos" duplicate posts that appeared on your profile after posting.
