Kenning Local Translation helps you understand everyday language across text, photos, speech, media files, and short face-to-face conversations.
Type or paste text, take or import a photo, choose horizontal or vertical text when needed, and let Kenning extract the words before translating them. You can also speak directly, import an audio file, or choose a video from Photos; Kenning prepares the speech as text, then sends it into the same translation flow.
Conversation mode is turn-based for clearer face-to-face use. Pick two languages, record one person at a time, then hear the translated result out loud. History keeps completed translations with the original text, translated text, language pair, source type, and time, so you can return to useful results later.
Before you need translation in places with weak signal, open Kenning and prepare the languages and speech recognition assets you expect to use. When the required on-device resources are available, the core translation and speech flow can stay on your iPhone or iPad.
Supported languages are English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and French. Actual availability depends on Apple system support and installed on-device language resources.
Kenning works best for travel, study, daily communication, work reading, photos, speech, media transcripts, and short conversations. For legal, medical, contractual, or other high-risk content, treat the translation as a helpful draft and have the final wording checked by a qualified person.
