If you have Pro, the menu now shows where you stand: the date your subscription renews, or the date Pro runs out when it is not set to renew. A Manage subscription link takes you straight to the right screen in iOS settings.
Offer codes now work if you redeem one before you have an account. Redeem, install, sign up, and Pro is already there.

You can now record the year a beer was bottled or canned. Check-in is two steps, so there is room for it without more scrolling, and "not sure" is a proper answer rather than a blank.
Choosing a style is a search now instead of a wall of chips. Type neipa, dipa or ris and you land on the right one. The shortcuts above it are the styles people actually log.
Style filters in search return beers instead of nothing, and suggestions stay above the keyboard where you can read them.

Breweries can now tell you where to actually drink their beer. Many do not sell at the brewhouse, so the taproom is somewhere else entirely, with its own hours and an open-now badge.
Search was rebuilt. One field finds beers, breweries, people and tap rooms, suggests as you type, and now understands styles, so searching hazy IPA finds hazy IPAs rather than only beers with those words in the name. It is also about fifteen times faster.
Breweries wear their own logos across the app.
Tap Rooms opens on everything worth joining instead of a preview of it.
Distance, time and serving temperature now follow your phone's settings.

Sipstr now remembers where you drank.
Tag a check-in as a bar, brewery or festival and it becomes a place on your own private map. Name it later when you are sitting down, mark the ones you loved, and keep a list of the ones you still want to visit.
The map shows the bars and breweries around you too, with opening hours and what kind of place each one is.
Märzen and Festbier are proper styles now, in time for the season.

Open any beer and you'll see how well it matches your taste, from your very first rating.
Browsing without an account is properly free now. Look around as long as you like.
Quests now run all week instead of resetting every night, and they're picked from things you're likely to be drinking anyway.

Point at a beer. It's logged.
The scanner had a big rebuild. It crops to the beer you aimed at instead of the whole table, and it matches on the beer's name rather than guessing from the brewery. Fewer wrong answers, fewer retakes.
And when a beer isn't in the app yet, you don't get sent to a form any more. Confirm what the scanner read and it's created for you, straight on to rating it.
Your Collection got smarter: Tonight's Pick ranks the beers on your shelf by what you'll enjoy right now, and tells you why.
Also: 13,000 new beers, nearly all with real label shots, so more scans land first time.

Collection: keep track of the beers you own but haven't opened yet. Your cellar,
your hauls, that special bottle you're saving for the right night. Scan or search
a beer and shelf it to your Collection. When you finally crack it open and check
in, it moves itself over to Tried.
Tap Rooms open up: read the latest posts in any room without joining. Join when you want to jump in, it's still free.

• Backdated check-ins now show the night you drank the beer, not the day you logged it
• Beer pages show how many people want to try it and how many already own it
• Lifetime stats gained two rows: your most checked-in beer, and the score you
actually hand out on average

A palate that grows with you
Your taste fingerprint now spans 9 flavours (say hi to Bitter, Floral
and Spice), with a cleaner radar and a "trending toward" read on the
next taste zone you're heading for.
