The high-resolution images PickShot prepares in advance are now actually used. • Loading a preview opens the original RAW far less often, so working from an external SSD is lighter. • Fixed high-resolution images being rebuilt from scratch on every launch. • Fixed a cache limit too small to hold a single folder, which caused constant rebuilding. • The cache location setting and automatic retention cleanup now actually work. AI Culling • Added a way into the AI culling screen. • Fixed AI results overwriting star ratings you set yourself. • Fixed AI culling results disappearing after a restart. • AI picks now show a border, and the sort options have been consolidated. Client Select • You can now choose the resolution sent to clients: 1200, 1600, or 2000. Memory and storage fixes. • Fixed memory growing over long sessions The app was measuring its own memory with the wrong metric, so cleanup never started even when usage was far past the limit. It now kicks in on time, and if clearing caches isn't enough, it lowers the cache budget itself. • Fixed the thumbnail cache growing without limit There's now a cap sized to your Mac, and it tightens further when disk space is low. Note: on the first launch after updating, cache above the cap is cleared. Folders you open often will rebuild their thumbnails once. • RAW thumbnails are faster Canon, Nikon and Sony previews now decode across multiple cores — 7-12x measured. • Reduced background work on 8GB Macs

Fixes an issue where the app could quit unexpectedly while viewing RAW photos. • Fixed the app quitting in large RAW folders The app could close when a thumbnail and a preview opened the same RAW file at the same time. It showed up most often on first entering a folder with many photos, such as Canon CR3. The photo you are looking at is now always handled first, so preview speed is unchanged.

The bigger your folder, the more you will notice this. • Filename search is faster Searching across subfolders no longer reopens the whole folder. Only the photos that match are added to the list, and clearing the search puts things back. Your current photo, your ratings, and your warmed-up previews all stay. • The "Include subfolders" button is clearer It turns yellow when it is on, and tells you up front when there are no subfolders to expand. • Fixed previews being rebuilt even when a ready one was already cached • Fixed the settings window being too narrow, clipping text
