Say Metronome is a voice-controlled metronome and automatic tuner, created by a musician for musicians. Keep your hands on your instrument while you start or stop the beat, change tempo, and set up practice sequences.
YOUR PRACTICE, ON ONE SCREEN
• Set tempos from 20 to 500 BPM.
• Use time signatures with an accented first beat, or an even click without accents.
• Create repeating tempo sequences with gradual changes measured in seconds, minutes, or bars.
• Save practice modes and pin the ones you want to keep.
• Tune automatically while the metronome is stopped and the microphone is enabled. No voice-model download is needed for tuning.
LIVE AUTOMATIC TUNER
Play a steady note to reveal the compact chromatic tuner. Follow a continuous pitch trace moving from top to bottom, with a clear note display and tuning indicator. The tuner matches your selected visual theme, hides during metronome playback, and needs no voice-model download. Smooth graph motion follows the display refresh rate, with bounded history and processing to limit resource use. Microphone permission is required.
VOICE CONTROL
Say a command containing the word “metronome,” such as “Metronome start,” “Metronome tempo 120,” or “Metronome stop.” You can also change tempo and create practice sequences by voice. Manual metronome controls remain available.
Command interpretation runs locally on your device using a downloadable language model. Downloading the model requires your explicit action, an internet connection, and sufficient free storage. Speech recognition uses the device’s system service, preferring on-device recognition; the system provider may use its network service when local recognition is unavailable. Offline voice availability depends on the installed model and speech-language support. Microphone capture runs only while the app is active in the foreground. Switching the microphone off disables both voice commands and the tuner; manual metronome controls remain available.
