While the ship flies, a new instrument counts the neutrinos passing through you. About a hundred trillion a second, and none of them stop. When the ship lands, the log reports the flight's total and how many actually hit. Almost always none. The odds are the real ones. A ? beside the reading explains what a neutrino is, where the numbers come from, and what a hit means. The meter can be turned off in Settings.

Two empty buttons could appear at the top of the home screen before the first discovery, and before the adventures unlock. They no longer do. The tutorial's narration could be cut short at the largest text sizes. It reads in full now.

Historic Adventures. A voyage can now retrace a real mission, leg by leg, on the ship's own clock. Voyager 1 crosses six legs, from Jupiter to interstellar space. Huygens falls to Titan in three. Both are free. Six more come with Voyage Complete: New Horizons, Voyager 2, The Great Silence, The Deepest Field, Parker Solar Probe, and Halley. Every arrival carries what happened there, and the sources it came from. A finished adventure can be flown again. A historic leg reports in like any other voyage, to the watch face and to one notification. Moving between Home, Genesis, and the adventures no longer depends on knowing which way to drag. Restoring a backup from iCloud could leave the sky empty until the app was force-quit. A ship is in flight again when the restore lands. Opening the app could stall for several seconds, and sometimes not finish. It opens straight away now.

The Apple Watch companion now has a complication. The time left on the voyage sits on the watch face, in all four shapes, and keeps counting without the app being opened. The countdown on the watch could sit a minute behind itself. It now turns over when the number does. Genesis energy is earned per discovery now, rather than per minute of flight. A stage's cost is stated in energy rather than in minutes. Beacons are one per arrival. The total distance on Home can read in miles, or choose its own units as it grows. The picker is in Settings. Voyage now has an Apple Watch companion. It shows the ship in flight, how long is left, and what rarity waits at the other end. It is a window rather than a control: the discovery itself is still claimed on the phone. The three trip lengths have been re-balanced. A question could be answered a second time after a mastery scan, and the second answer counted for nothing. It no longer can. On a long discovery the CONTINUE button drew over the last lines of the reveal. It now sits where every other screen puts it. A purchase that needs approval, such as Ask to Buy or a bank confirmation, used to forget it was waiting as soon as you touched anything else, and offer you the same button again. It now says it is waiting, and keeps saying so until the approval arrives.

Trip lengths now show their travel times. Short, long, and deep carry their ranges on the picker, so choosing one no longer means waiting to find out what it meant. Notifications can be turned back on from Settings. If you declined when first asked, your ship had no way to tell you it had arrived — and no way back. Home no longer strands you when a voyage fails to depart. Endurance and Voyager can be earned again. Both were tied to a session length the app no longer has; they now come from voyages completed. Meteor showers drift past the home screen during the year's ten peaks. Plus fixes to the voyage log and to changing trip length mid-flight.

Voyage 1.3 finds a quieter rhythm. Your vessel now travels on its own, even while the app is closed, and waits at its destination until you return. Choose a short, long, or deep voyage, then check in whenever you want. The home screen has a new voyage instrument: an alien clock that becomes more readable as you spend time with it. Arrival notifications are simpler, the app icon marks a waiting discovery, and the odometer now shows familiar kilometers. This release also removes the old focus timer and Live Activity, makes the first return journey clearer, strengthens saved-voyage recovery, and fixes a handful of quiet problems underneath.

A small patch, mostly about not losing things. In rare cases a voyage could become impossible to finish — the object you were traveling toward had quietly left the sky between updates. Those journeys now end gently instead of holding you there. If a saved game ever became unreadable, the next launch used to write over it. It is now set aside and kept, so a damaged file is never silently lost. Underneath: steadier timer recovery when the app is reopened from cold, more reliable Signal Beacon sends, and a handful of quieter fixes. Thank you for traveling.

Voyage 1.2 widens the travel music with 38 new pieces, and gives the longer ones more silence to settle into. The star chart now spreads tight clusters — moons, ringed planets, binary stars — into distinct tappable orbs, and pinch-zoom reaches twice as far in. The download is about 160 MB smaller. If you have notifications on, the app will leave a single quiet reminder after three days away, then once a week for a month. Nothing else. Beneath the surface: safer iCloud restores, a fix for the app being killed after sitting in the background for more than a day, the correct "furthest reached" number after the chart spread, kinder purchase recovery after a refund or family-share change, and a handful of smaller reliability fixes.

Voyage 1.1 adds a Voyage Log, giving recent journeys a quiet place to collect. There is now a ship picker in Settings — with a few hidden silhouettes waiting for patient travelers, and additional ships included with the Supporter Pack. This update also tightens session history, layer progress copy, relative time labels, and several small recovery paths beneath the surface.

A small patch. If you closed the app mid-voyage while the timer was recalibrating against background drift, it could jump or compensate twice on relaunch. It now resumes from where the journey actually was. Quiet improvements underneath. Thank you for traveling.
