This app was recommended in a TikTok comment on a video for a similar app, and it is so much better. While the other app only allowed up to ten downloaded songs, this one’s syncs directly to Apple Music. The interface is incredibly seamless and clean. I’ve recommended this app to so many people, and they love it just as much as I do! My only minor complaint is that I noticed the lyric function doesn’t work. I’m unsure if it’s incompatible with Apple Music or just a user error on my part. Regardless, it is still such a cool app. I love how it mimics a real iPod classic, and being able to change the color is a fantastic touch. I also agree with other reviewers that it would be awesome to add wallpaper customization and stickers in a future update. Please never get rid of this; I’m never using the regular music app again!

I came across Sepiapod on TikTok & knew I had to check it out. It is so cute and legit looks like the nostalgic iPod from my teenage years! Works smoothly as well. When I first downloaded the app I couldn’t figure out why my songs weren’t loading from the Apple Music library. Turns out I had all of my music in playlists and 0 songs in the library itself. So I added 1 song to my library and then all of my playlists loaded in the app. Now I’ll be using this in replacement of the Apple Music app itself forever because I just can’t go back now. Also the option to change theme/colors is the best part! To the developer, this app is cool but you’re even cooler! Thank you for creating this app for us! ✨

I LOVE this app and the classic iPod aesthetic! However, I really wish there was a playlist feature for people who import their music using the folder option. Since the folder feature and the regular music library can’t be used together, I’m unable to create and access playlists the way I want to. I’d love to be able to create custom playlists using songs from my imported folders, add individual songs to different playlists, and shuffle those playlists separately. Please consider adding this in a future update!! It would make this app SO much better and closer to the original iPod experience. 🙏

UPDATE: The developer responded and is fully aware of the issues people are having. They are actively making changes and improving the app based on feedback. Updating my rating to give credit for listening and working on fixes—keeping my original review below for context.——Idk exactly what was changed but before the latest update it felt more like original iPod interface, you could scroll with the wheel and the volume would change, now it’s different. It scrubs the song and there’s an ugly bar at the bottom, it wasn’t there before if it’s added it should be optional. This isn’t what it was 2 weeks ago. If I could give less than one star I would.

I'm considering making them optional or finding a different way to communicate the same information.At the same time, more users are finding it difficult to discover that the controls (the seek bar and volume bar) can be switched. I'll keep looking for a solution that works well for both groups of users.
