Ghost Racer turns your Apple Watch into a live head-to-head racing game for running, cycling, and swimming. Pick an event, choose a benchmark ghost or race your own best performance, and watch the competition unfold in real time as the app compares your progress against the target on your wrist. Whether you're chasing a 40 Yard Dash, a mile, a 5K, a cycling time trial, or a swim effort, Ghost Racer makes training feel more like a challenge than a workout.
The app includes benchmark tiers like High School, College, Pro, and Draft Combine-style efforts, along with a Race Yourself mode that saves your personal records and lets you line up against your own pacing. Instead of only storing final times, Ghost Racer can replay your split-based ghost data so your saved efforts feel more realistic and dynamic during rematches. You can also share your ghost with friends, import theirs, and race named friend ghosts right on your watch.
During each event, Ghost Racer shows a live ghost track, gap time, distance progress, pace or speed, and workout stats like heart rate, cadence, and power when available. Running and cycling use GPS with fallback logic for more reliable pace and distance updates, while swimming supports indoor pool-style tracking through HealthKit distance. With countdown starts, quick restart/resume controls, and a clean watch-first interface, Ghost Racer is designed to make every workout feel competitive, focused, and fun.
