The Inventory is a list now Items appear as a list rather than tiles — grouped by area and compartment, sortable by name, quantity or expiry date and filterable by category. The same row carries the minimum quantity where you have set one, the expiry date in the format of your language, and whether the item is dutiable. Considerably more of your items fit on one screen. Headings stay put Scroll the Inventory and the area and compartment heading stays below the filter bar, so you still know where you are after a hundred items. In the logbook the passage and the column headings stay as well: you cannot read a row of course, SOG, Bft and hPa without them, and on a long passage that keeps both in view. Maintenance scrolls column by column The board fills the screen, and Planned, In Progress and Done scroll independently of one another. All three states stay side by side, the column heading holds still, and the target column stays put under your finger while you move a task. Your unfinished support message stays Close the window mid-sentence and your text is there when you come back. Also: on the chart you move straight from one log entry to the next, and the pop-up stays open. And a maintenance form you only looked at closes without asking.

Export a season or a single passage The logbook export no longer has to cover everything. Choose a whole season or one passage, and the PDF holds just those entries — for the port office, for the insurer, or for your own records. Choose what KnotWise opens on Set the page the app starts with — Dashboard, Passages & Logbook, Map, any of the thirteen. It sits under Settings › Appearance and counts for that device alone: the tablet at the helm can start on the map, the laptop on the logbook. Color scheme and night brightness now work the same way — set on a device, kept on that device. When something goes wrong A crash no longer leaves you with a blank screen: a page says what happened and lets you carry on. Under Settings › Help & Support, the diagnostic log shows what the app has recorded — the views you opened, the actions you triggered, the requests that failed. You can download it and attach it to a report. Signing in The code field takes the digits left to right, brings up the numeric keypad, and checks the code as soon as the last digit is in. No button to press. Taps land immediately Touches register the moment they happen, without getting in the way of pinch-zoom. Also: start a log entry straight from the Dashboard, move a maintenance task to another column from its own menu, page numbers in the logbook PDF are correct again, and links in the legal texts open properly.

Detailed logbook export The logbook PDF now comes in two variants. The usual one stays as it is, built for customs and the port office. The detailed one adds what that leaves out — weather, wind in knots, swell, engine RPM, fuel and water level — and, for every entry, when you wrote it and when you last changed it. Under Export, switch on "Detailed export". First steps On start-up a list shows what your vessel still lacks — consumption and tank volume for the range, home port and flag for the customs form. It ticks itself off as you work and disappears once everything is in place. One menu for everything Log entries, maintenance, inventory, crew: the actions sit in the same "…" menu everywhere. Nothing fails quietly Every save confirms itself, and what fails says why. The sync badge reads "Connected" when it is connected. Also: sample data to look around, ketches print the mizzen in every PDF and in the CSV export, the map key survives clearing the cache, and the gallery no longer shows black frames.
