Spoken corrections now land every time. Say "go to school, scratch that, to home" and the text reads "go to home", in Exact, Clean or Polished, whichever cleanup model you use. Corrections in the middle of a sentence work too, and the words after them stay. "Scratch that off the list" is kept as what you said, not treated as a command. Parlin also explains why it watches your Downloads folder: recordings AirDropped from Parlin Recorder on your iPhone land there, and Parlin moves them into your library on their own.

Faster dictation in every language, cleaner meeting notes, and a lighter footprint on 8 GB Macs. - Persian, Spanish, German and every other Whisper language now transcribe while you hold the key, the way English already did. The wait after release on a 24-second Persian dictation dropped from 11 seconds to about one. - Spoken lists ("bullet point", "number one", "first one is") become real lists in Clean and Polished, in every cleanup tier. - Stuttered doubles like "the the" collapse to one word; "that that" and numbers are left alone. - The meeting mic no longer transcribes your Mac's own speakers: a chunk that is the far end heard twice is skipped before transcription. - Meeting notes read as one paragraph per speaker turn, and the names in your Dictionary are spelled your way in the summary. - On 8 GB Macs the Whisper model stays on disk until a file, link or meeting needs it, and the meeting's live preview refreshes half as often.

Dictation lands faster, and meeting notes say what was said instead of who said it. - Dictation starts transcribing while you are still holding the key, so the wait after release no longer grows with every word. Custom words are still recognised. - Key points state facts, not who spoke, at most eight, with no near-repeats. - The summary no longer repeats a subject or pads with "X was discussed"; short sections gather under "Also covered". - A decision the meeting reached is kept even when the key points restate it. - Exported notes carry the date in the file name. - The question coach keeps working in Persian, Arabic and Urdu, and stale questions retire once the conversation moves on.

Dictation keeps every word you meant to keep. Saying "start over from the top" or "let me try again with the intro" in the middle of a sentence used to be read as a command and erased everything before it. Those phrases are now only a command when nothing follows them. Dictation never gets stuck. If the speech engine takes too long, Parlin stops waiting, keeps your recording, and is ready for the next press. Pressing the shortcut again, or Escape, cancels a transcription you no longer want. If macOS briefly pauses Parlin's keyboard listener, the shortcut picks itself back up. If your microphone disconnects mid-sentence, the words captured so far are still transcribed. Parlin will not dictate into a password field, and never puts what you said there on the clipboard. Meetings can always be summarized. A meeting that ended through a quit, a crash, or Cancel now opens with a "Summarize now" button instead of staying a bare transcript forever. Cancel during the finishing stage actually cancels, Discard no longer waits on work for a note about to be deleted, and quitting during a live meeting asks first. Your dictionary corrections now apply to meeting notes and transcribed files too, and a bundled word like "linear" is only capitalized as a product name when you added it yourself, and two ordinary words like "stop here" are never turned into one. Captions on exported video are readable everywhere. Subtitles (.srt and .vtt) and burned-in captions now share one rulebook: two lines of at most 42 characters, one to seven seconds per cue, no overlaps, exact timestamps, and text that stays valid for strict players. Caption text is sized for the video's own resolution, keeps the source frame rate and colour, exports upside-down clips the right way up, and shows real progress. Export Video works on macOS 14.6 and 15 as well as 26.

Meetings now tell your voice from the other person's. Hold a phone call up to your Mac or share a room with someone, and your lines are marked as yours while they get their own name. Parlin learns the sound of your voice from your own dictation, on your Mac, with nothing to set up. If it ever names the wrong person, click a speaker's name on any line and pick "This is me" or "This isn't me": every line of that voice changes at once, before and after. The summary now shows up in the note you are looking at. A long meeting can take a few minutes to summarize; the note says it is writing and fills in on its own instead of looking empty until you reopen it. The question coach stopped repeating itself. Questions are compared by meaning, so a reworded one never shows twice, and one the other side just asked and answered is not handed back to you. Read a suggested question out loud, or let the conversation land on it, and the card checks itself off and marks the lines that answered it. The list is numbered best first. The live transcript arrives sooner on English meetings, and the last line of a meeting no longer loses its speaker. Dictation no longer asks you to raise your voice. Parlin never adjusted how loud your recording was, so speaking quietly, or tired, or sitting back from the Mac gave you a worse result than it should have. Every dictation is now brought up to a normal level before it is read. A quiet hold is also no longer thrown away: whether anyone spoke is judged against the room you are actually in, not one fixed loudness, so a real dictation that used to be dropped now comes through.

Clean, Polished and Summary now really are three different things. On longer dictations they could hand your speech back nearly word for word; each mode now does its own job, and Polished comes out visibly shorter and tighter than Clean. A long dictation always comes back as sentences instead of one unbroken run, without a single word changed. When you correct yourself out loud, Parlin keeps the version you meant. "Send it to Alice, scratch that, Bob" pastes Bob. This also worked far less often than it should have: any contraction earlier in the sentence, like "I'm" or "don't", quietly switched the whole feature off. Words you add to the dictionary no longer swallow ordinary ones, so "ready" stays ready instead of becoming React. Saying "dash" as a normal word keeps it. "I have to dash home" used to paste as "I have to-home". The dictation bar names the engine that is actually running, and every Mac now starts on the compact on-device model, which cuts what a new install downloads by roughly half.

Parlin now credits the open speech and language models it runs on your Mac. Open Settings and look under Acknowledgements: every model is listed with who made it, what it does here, and its licence. Exported PDFs print their headings properly. Summary topics used to arrive with raw ### markers in front of them. Key Points no longer starts a bullet in the middle of a sentence. When a recording was cut mid-clause, the point built from it began on a lowercase word and read as broken.

This one is all about Parlin staying out of your way. Dictation no longer repeats itself. The cleanup step could get stuck in a loop and paste the same sentence over and over. Parlin now checks that the cleaned text is a sensible length for what you said, and uses your own words when it is not. Scrolling a long transcript or meeting note no longer freezes the app. Text selection in long lists could pin Parlin at full CPU. Right-click any paragraph to copy it, or choose Select Text to highlight exactly what you want in a window that handles any length. Deleting a lot of documents at once no longer freezes the app. Clearing thousands of items took over eight minutes and locked the window. It now takes under a second and shows a progress bar. Key Points works on short, punchy videos again. Points that reused the speaker's own words were being thrown away, so some videos came back with nothing. Meeting notes keep their most concrete action items. An action item built from what someone actually committed to, like "Send the deck to Karen by Friday morning", could be dropped for repeating the words that were said. Summaries tell you when they are running slowly, and stop if they stall instead of spinning forever.

The biggest update since launch. FASTER ENGLISH Parlin now picks the speech engine for you. English dictation lands in about a fifth of a second. Set another language and it switches to the accurate engine automatically. Nothing to configure. MEETINGS IN YOUR LANGUAGE Summaries, titles, and suggested questions come back in the language actually spoken, not English. A meeting that opens with one English word no longer drags the whole thing into English. BETTER SPEAKERS Press Done and Parlin re-reads the whole recording to work out who said what with a view of every voice at once, so a speaker split across two labels snaps back to one. Your microphone is always attributed to you. PAUSE AND RESUME Pause drops the microphone and the call audio and keeps the note open. Nothing said during a pause is recorded. MORE CONTROL Edit meeting notes before exporting. Choose how long dictation audio is kept, 7, 30, or 90 days, or forever. Transcripts are always kept. CLEANER TEXT Clean mode now splits run-on sentences and drops your repeats and false starts while keeping your wording. Fillers and repeated phrases are removed every time by a deterministic pass, not left to the model. Emphasis like "no no no" is kept. FIXED Parlin no longer freezes when the system audio service stops responding. It now checks that audio is answering before opening the microphone and tells you what happened instead of locking up. Dictating in Persian, Spanish, or any non-English language now returns that language. Recording the call's audio no longer drops your voice, and no longer turns your system volume down. Meeting summaries attribute statements only to the speaker who said them, and stop inventing action items for a talk where nobody committed to anything. Ending a meeting no longer gets stuck. The summary passes ran all at once and could pile up enough memory pressure to look like a freeze. Much less CPU while idle. Decorative animations ran at up to 120Hz with the window buried, costing more than half a core all day. Faster paste, real progress bars on model downloads, arrow keys no longer trigger a hands-free shortcut, and Parlin spells its own name right more often.

The floating dictation control's voice bars now move with your voice. They rise while you speak and settle when you pause, instead of sitting at full height.
