Doze is a lightweight macOS menu bar utility that automatically puts your Mac to sleep after a timer you set - perfect for falling asleep to music, podcasts, or videos without worrying about leaving your Mac running all night.
HOW IT WORKS
Click the Doze icon in your menu bar, pick a duration, and let it run. Doze counts down in the background and puts your Mac to sleep when the time is up.
QUICK PRESETS & CUSTOM TIMER
Choose from built-in presets (30, 45, or 60 minutes) or set any custom duration in hours and minutes - whatever fits your routine.
FULL-SCREEN WARNING BEFORE SLEEP
60 seconds before sleep, Doze shows a full-screen overlay so you have time to react. Cancel the timer or snooze for an extra 5 minutes with a single click.
MENU BAR COUNTDOWN
Optionally display the live countdown directly in your menu bar so you always know how much time remains.
GLOBAL KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
Control Doze from anywhere on your Mac - show the timer popover or start your default timer without switching apps.
SHORTCUTS APP SUPPORT
Start, cancel, or check your timer from the Shortcuts app, or use Doze actions in your own automations.
ACCESSIBILITY
Doze works with VoiceOver, and the sleep warning can be handled from the keyboard - press Return or Esc to cancel the timer.
