Berlin Chinese Food Map is a non-profit, community-driven guide to Chinese restaurants across Berlin. Run by Berlin's Chinese diaspora, it focuses on the kind of detail you only get from people who actually eat the food: who's a real Sichuan cook, who pulls noodles by hand, who's open on a Sunday. WHY THIS APP Tired of stitching together fragments from generic review apps, we built one map that tells you what locals already know - in a form you can hand to a friend. CORE FEATURES - Photo-rich map: every marker shows a cover photo, the restaurant name, and a cuisine tag - 22-tag taxonomy: 10 regional cuisines (Sichuan / Cantonese / Beijing / Shandong / Jiangsu / Shanghai / Hunan / Fujian / Northwestern / Northeastern) plus 12 formats (hotpot, BBQ, snacks, bakery, drinks ...) - filter by any combination - Real-time open status: structured opening hours power a live "open now" badge; closed restaurants render with a moon icon - Trilingual search: search in Chinese, English, or German - "chuan" matches Sichuan - Immersive detail sheet: photo gallery, opening hours, address, phone, one-tap directions or call - Community-driven: every entry is submitted via our public GitHub repository, anyone can add or correct PRIVACY FIRST - No sign-up, no sign-in - No ads, no in-app purchases, no third-party tracking SDKs - Location is requested only when you tap "my location" - coordinates stay on your device NON-PROFIT Maintained by Novawerk.
