Self-tape auditions from anywhere — including the driver's seat. Park, mount your phone, hit record. Star in Your Car turns the most underrated room in your life into your
audition space.
CINEMATIC LIGHT, NATURAL SOUND
A car interior has warm window light, soft acoustics, and total privacy. No roommates, no tripod, no studio rental. Park and shoot.
TWO TRACKS OF FEEDBACK
Most rating apps blend pros and public into one mushy average. We don't. Casting professionals rate on their own track. The public rates on theirs. You see both side by side
and decide what each one means.
REAL CASTING CALLS
Browse open calls posted by casting professionals or submit open-ended tapes for general feedback. Every tape is tied to a specific call or a public read.
WHAT'S IN THE APP
- Front-facing camera, one tap to start
- Up to 90 seconds per take, retake as many times as you want
- Direct upload to secure cloud storage
- Two separate rating tracks — pros and public, never blended
- Casting calls and open-ended self-tapes
- No submission fees, no paywall to rate
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick a casting call or start an open-ended self-tape
2. Mount your phone, record, submit
3. Get rated by working casting pros and the public — see both tracks side by side
WHO IT'S FOR
Working actors who tape between auditions, day jobs, and school runs. Aspiring performers without studio access. Casting professionals scouting for roles. Anyone who wants
real feedback on their work.
ABOUT YOUR TAPES
By submitting a tape you grant Star in Your Car a license to host and display it on the platform. Full terms in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
