Clearing faults: a module that answers "still working" is no longer reported as refusing — the app waits for its final answer. Faster scans: when a module does not answer a freeze-frame request, the app stops asking it about every other fault.

• The scanning screen is now a single ring around the car with the progress and what the app is doing — no more list of control-unit names scrolling past. • Older VW, Audi, Škoda and SEAT cars answer on an older channel: the app now opens it, so a car that used to report 6 control units out of 24 reports all of them. • When the VIN does not give the model and year, the app asks for them before scanning instead of guessing and finding nothing. • A fault stored with a freeze frame now shows the correct code. • If the adapter cannot reach the older control units, the app says so instead of reporting the car as clean.

• A stored fault now shows the mileage the car recorded when it happened, so an old fault is no longer mistaken for a new one (BMW and the Ford/Volvo platform). • Fixed: where two engine controllers answer, the warning-lamp status could be read from the wrong one — the app could say the lamp was off while it was lit on the dashboard. • Clearing faults now reaches every control unit the scan found, not only those in the brand list, and every attempt is recorded. • Volvo: the control units and the odometer of the 2007–2016 platform are now read. • Mileage now always records whether it came from the car or was entered by hand. • Fixed: after a failed connection search some adapters report the wrong wiring type. The app believed it and scanned the wrong one — cars that were answering all along ended as “could not connect”.

Scans that could not reach the server are now retried instead of being lost, and they go up in the order they were taken so fault history stays correct. When the VIN does not name the model, the app asks you to pick it before the deep scan rather than scanning the wrong platform. Mileage is read in the units the car actually reports, so an imported car is no longer understated. A dropped adapter can no longer be mistaken for control units answering.

• Insurance and roadworthiness test dates with reminders — the app warns you before they run out. • Redesigned vehicle screen: key facts in one compact card at the top; tap the fault count to jump to the fault list. • If the adapter stops responding mid-scan, the app now says so instead of showing an empty result. • Mileage entered by hand is now clearly labelled in the vehicle history.

Cars that answer in 29-bit addressing — many Honda, Nissan, Toyota and Mazda models — were being asked the wrong way, and everything they said in more than one frame was thrown away. Fixed end to end. • The VIN is read from the car again. A long answer that arrives in several frames is put back together instead of being dropped after the first one, so the VIN, the fault lists and the module part numbers all come through. • No more false all-clear. The fault scan was going out to an address nothing on these cars listens to, so a car with a stored fault could be reported as clean. Clearing faults failed the same way, and now works. • Mileage is asked in the addressing the car actually uses. • Extra control units are found the way the car addresses them, not with ids it cannot receive. • Flow control adapts to your adapter. ELM327 clones disagree about how to ask a module to continue a long answer, so the app tries the alternatives once and keeps whichever works. • On some Bluetooth adapters the app was writing its commands to the wrong channel and never reached the car at all. It now finds the right one. • An adapter that stops answering is recognised, instead of its silence being read as a clean car. • The year is no longer asserted when the car's own type code contradicts it, and more European models are named.

Scan reliability fixes, all from real scans drivers sent in. • If the adapter drops out mid-scan, the app now says so. Until now the modules it never got to ask were reported as empty, and a scan that reached nothing could look like a clean car. • Cars that talk 29-bit CAN — several Nissan and Infiniti models — are now asked in the addressing they actually answer on. Their control units and stored faults were being missed entirely. • A reply arriving from an unexpected address is no longer counted as that module reporting "no faults". • The module sweep, the mileage read and the bus listen now stop when the adapter is gone, instead of recording silence as a finding about your car.

• Volkswagen SUVs and MPVs — Tiguan, T-Roc, T-Cross, ID.4 — now show their model name and year. Their VIN prefix was missing from the decoder, and the two ID codes were the wrong way round. • A car whose engine module holds no VIN is told so plainly, instead of being blamed on its age. Everything else on those cars still reads. • A VIN you type in is no longer lost when the adapter is not connected — it waits, and the next scan uses it.
