The biggest update since launch. Everything below works on the free plan, except the Word export, which is Pro. REPORTS THAT LOOK LIKE YOURS • Ten report themes, from Classic to Letter: accent colour, typeface, and how severity is shown • Three layouts: Standard (one issue a page), Compact (two a page, photo beside the text) and Schedule (a table grouped by contractor, with thumbnails, to hand out to the trades) • Your own wording: the cover title ("Snagging Report", "Pre-Handover Inspection"), renamed headings (Observation, Action required), an introduction on the cover and closing remarks on their own page • Call each item an issue, snag, defect, deficiency, punch item or observation, or type your own word • Client sign-off: the client or contractor signs on your device at handover, and it prints on the cover beside your signature • The PDF now has real text: search it, copy from it, edit it in Preview or Acrobat. Files are much smaller • Word export (Pro): the whole report as an editable .docx for Word, Pages or Google Docs, photos included FIND AND FIX FASTER • Search issues by title, description, location, trade, reference or tag • Filter by status, severity, trade, assigned party or overdue • Select several issues and change their status or priority in one go • Assign each issue to a trade or contractor; it prints on the report and in the CSV • The next issue starts with the same location and contractor as the last one CLOSE THE LOOP • Add an after photo when the fix is done; the report shows Before and After side by side • Record who verified it on site and when, with a closure note • Ask the AI to compare the before and after photos: fixed, partly fixed, not fixed, or can't tell • Photos carry the time and, if you allow it, the GPS position, printed under each photo and in the CSV WALK THE SITE • Room-by-room checklists: new-build handover, rental move-in and move-out, commercial fit-out, fire safety, or your own. A Fail becomes an issue with the room and trade filled in, and the walk prints as an appendix • Import several photos at once; the AI drafts each one and you keep the ones you want • Save and take the next photo in one tap; email the report with the PDF attached; duplicate a project for the next unit • Folders on the Projects screen: group by client, site or phase • Export as CSV for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets, alone or zipped with every photo Requests and bug reports are read by a person: punchlistai@niceexpress.org
