DelbarMe is a community and social app made for the Afghan diaspora. Meet people through their real voice, join warm circles called halqas, and share the moments of your day with people who understand where you come from.
A place to belong, wherever you landed
Oslo, Frankfurt, Toronto, Sydney, Kabul, or a village nobody has heard of. DelbarMe brings Afghans together through voice, community, and shared moments. No pressure, no swipe-first experience, no shallow feeds.
Halqas: communities that feel like home
A halqa is a circle of people who share something with you. Book Circle. Weekend Football. Chai and Coffee. Photography Lovers. Iftar Potluck. Chat inside, post inside, host events inside. If your city does not have your halqa yet, start one.
Ashnayi: real voices, real connections
Every profile has a 15-second voice intro. Before deciding whether to reach out, you listen. When someone sparks your interest, you can send a Daawat - a 10-second voice introduction.
The recipient has 24 hours to respond. They must listen to the Daawat before they can reply, and they can respond with their own 10-second voice message, decline, or let the request expire. Users can send up to three Daawat requests per day.
Ashnayi is one part of DelbarMe, alongside communities, events, posts, postcards, and messaging.
Postcards from your day
Postcards are small photo moments from wherever you are right now. They stay visible in the community feed for 24 hours, then move to your profile so friends can look back. Kabul at sunset, morning chai in Oslo, a walk in Bergen. Life stays light.
Posts and comments
Share longer moments as posts with photos, feelings, and location tags. Comment on posts from people in your halqas.
End-to-end encrypted chat
Every 1-to-1 chat is end-to-end encrypted. Text, voice clips, and image attachments are protected with end-to-end encryption. DelbarMe does not have access to the encryption keys needed to read the content of these conversations.
Safety and moderation
Profiles and public content go through automated review before they reach other users. Report and block are one tap away. We do not sell your data, we do not run ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
