An honest, private mirror of your running — built from the GPS workouts already in Apple Health. No account, no ads, no tracking. Your data stays on your phone. The First Mile is an honest, private mirror of your running — built entirely from the workouts you've already recorded in Apple Health. Nothing to log, nothing to set up, nothing to chase. It meets you at whatever your first mile looks like: walking, jogging, or running, all equally first-class. YOUR JOURNEY Every GPS workout becomes a waypoint on a winding trail — your whole history on one screen, from day one to this morning. A five-level Running Level (measured from your recent workouts) shows where you are right now, and a weekly gauge shows how this week compares to your own normal. EVERY WORKOUT, FULLY ANALYZED Your route drawn on the map and colored by effort — walk, jog, and run zones. Mile-by-mile splits, elevation profile, heart-rate chart and time in zones, cadence and stride, even the weather your watch recorded. Replay any workout as an animated route with milestone callouts. HONEST NUMBERS Comfortable Distances measure what you can actually cover in each zone — conservatively, from your strongest recent efforts, never inflated. Progress charts show your pace, level, and walk-jog-run mix changing over months and years. RECORDS & PREDICTIONS Personal records across 27 distances, from 100 m sprints to 100-mile ultras — each with its route segment on the map and your top-10 history. Predictions give a realistic time range for every distance, anchored to your own record ladder — never hype. ROUTES, FOUND FOR YOU Run the same loop twice and it becomes a named route automatically — with a personal leaderboard of your runs on it, best paces, and direction-aware detection. AND MORE Orbit sets your milestone times in motion. Photo Finish lines up your fastest mile from each year on one finish line. Year Recap wraps your season into a shareable poster. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Siri shortcuts, and quiet notifications when a new personal record lands. BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD — ONE QUICK CHECK The First Mile is built entirely from workouts that include a GPS route in Apple Health: outdoor runs, walks, and hikes recorded with Apple Watch, or with apps and devices that save their routes to Apple Health. Here's an easy way to check: open the Fitness or Health app, pick a recent outdoor workout, and look for a route map. If you see one, you're ready — your history lights up the moment you grant access. Indoor and treadmill workouts don't carry GPS routes, so they won't appear in the analysis. ALWAYS YOU VS. YOU Every leaderboard, record, and race in the app is yours alone — today's you against last month's you. No feeds, no followers, no one else's times to measure up to. Your first mile counts the same as anyone's fastest. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything is computed on your device and stays there. The app only reads from Apple Health — it never writes. No server, no account. No ads. No tracking. The First Mile describes what you've already done — it doesn't coach, prescribe workouts, or provide medical, training, or fitness advice. No streaks, no guilt, no noise. Just the truth of how you move.
