Introducing Snippets, a brand new mini app for the text you paste all the time. NEW: SNIPPETS Store the email templates, AI prompt libraries for Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, code fragments, canned replies, addresses, meeting agendas, and any other boilerplate you retype every week. Copy any of them to your clipboard with one click. Tag your snippets and group by tag, sort by Recent, Newest, Oldest or A to Z, and duplicate the ones you want to riff on. Snippets lives in your menu bar like the rest of the mini apps and works fully offline. Your library is also included in Export & Backup, so it moves with you. EDIT YOUR PINNED APPS Click the pencil on any pinned app or website to rename it, swap it for a different app, or change its icon. No more removing and re-adding to make a small change. A dedicated "Change Icon" button now sits right below the icon in both edit windows so the option is impossible to miss, and the icon picker opens where you'd expect instead of behind the Settings window. SETTINGS • Hover any row in General to see a one-line explanation of what it does. • The Export & Backup card now stretches to the same width as the rest of the page. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • Pasting into a note now uses the note's own typography instead of dragging in styling from wherever you copied. • The Calculator's result history actually works now, as advertised. • The Settings menu bar icon respects your preference and stays hidden when you turn it off. A major performance release — plus due dates for your to-do list. PERFORMANCE & BATTERY TopShelf was doing constant background work even when every window was closed, enough to keep your Mac busy and drain the battery. That's fixed. We also fixed a leak that left a hidden process running for every web app you'd ever opened. TopShelf is dramatically lighter on both CPU and memory now. TO-DO LIST • Due dates. Set one on any task — Today, Tomorrow and Next week are a single click away, or pick any date from the calendar. • The menu bar icon shows how many tasks are due today or overdue, and stays clean when nothing needs you. • Sort your list by due date. • Roomier rows, bigger buttons, and a redesigned date picker. • Sub-tasks no longer shift under the cursor, and the one you're pointing at is highlighted. NOTES • Fixed: picking a colour for a note did nothing. • Redesigned notes list — change a note's colour, edit its tags, or delete it without opening it first. PASSWORD GENERATOR Fully redesigned. The character sets you've turned on are now obvious at a glance, and the strength meter tells you Weak, Fair or Strong instead of leaving you to interpret a colour. NEW: EXPORT & BACKUP Save your notes, to-dos, saved colours and saved passwords to a single file from Settings → General. Handy for moving to a new Mac or just keeping a copy. Saved passwords are left out unless you explicitly choose to include them. Notes is bigger and now includes your to-do lists. Add tasks (with sub-actions) inside any note, drop them inline into your writing, and drag to reorder. A new "Tasks" tab shows every to-do across all your notes. Right-click the Notes menu-bar icon to jump to a pinned note. Plus: text color picker that tracks light/dark mode, smarter paste, tags + grouping + sort, resizable tasks panel, and a bunch of UI polish.
