Privacy and your data - Analytics now asks first. The app used to collect anonymous usage statistics automatically. It now asks you once and either answer is completely fine. You can change your mind at any time in App Settings. - Download your data. Anyone with an Education Portal account can request a copy of everything the app holds about them. - Block a user. If a message from another parent or a member of staff isn't welcome, you can block them from your side and undo it later. - Portal passwords are now at least 12 characters, with a strength meter and advice as you type. Length matters more than symbols, so a memorable phrase of three words is accepted and encouraged. - The Privacy Policy has been updated to reflect all of the above. Education Portal - Sign-in was telling some staff to check their connection when their connection was fine. The app now recognises when the portal has simply taken too long, says so, and quietly tries again before giving up. Fixes - Zakat calculations and Qaza counts now sync across your devices through iCloud. This was always meant to work and never did, so your saved entries will appear on your other devices from now on. - The widget could show stand-in prayer times before it had loaded the real timetable. It now waits for the mosque's actual times. - The widget preview in the gallery showed a countdown running the wrong way when added in the afternoon. - Arabic translations completed across the guides and the Education Portal. - The mosque crest is now correctly centred everywhere it appears.

New guides - How to Pray - wudu and what breaks it, the prayer time windows, rakah counts, the order and positions of each rakah, every recitation from the Niyyah to the Salaam, witr, the duas after salah, tarawih and the sunnahs of Jumuah. The method is given for men and women side by side. - Janazah Prayer - what the funeral prayer is, how it differs from other prayers, the method through its four takbirs, and the duas used when the deceased is a child. Both prayer guides are built from the masjid's own Islamic Education syllabus. Zakat Calculator The calculator is now live under a new Tools section in Services, alongside the Qaza Tracker. It uses current gold and silver prices to work out the Nisab, tells you clearly whether Zakat is due, and saves your calculations so you can look back at them next year. Services is now easier to find your way around: Mosque, Daily Reflections, Tools, then Islamic Guides - the things you open often come first. Education Portal - Sign-in is fixed. Some staff were being told to check their connection when the fault lay elsewhere, and repeated attempts on a poor connection could lock an account for several minutes. That no longer happens, and the app now says what actually went wrong. - Registers and fees now confirm they saved. Previously a register could appear to be marked while the save had quietly failed. - A child's attendance and fees each have their own page, so their record stays readable as the year fills up. - Staff can now remove a parent account linked to a child by mistake. - A head teacher keeps their own class, register and Alim group alongside the school-wide admin view. - Dates now follow the mosque's day rather than the phone's, so a register marked abroad files under the right day. - The portal loads faster and uses far less data. Also in this release - The widget could show stand-in prayer times when the timetable had no row for today. It now waits for real times instead. - VoiceOver improvements to the Qibla compass and the prayer times list. - Arabic translations across the app, including the Education Portal's messages. - The Privacy Policy's section on location has been corrected and clarified.

Donations & expenditure — now published in the app We want to be open with everyone who supports the masjid. The Donate page now shows what we have received and what we have spent, side by side, updated roughly once a month. Tap "Find out more about where our donations go" to see exactly what those costs cover : water, electricity, air conditioning, cleaning, building work and running this app. If there is a gap between the two, your donation is what closes it. Ḥajj Guide A step by step companion to our Umrah Guide, taking you from preparation and iḥram, through the Umrah of Tamattu and the five days of Ḥajj day by day, to the ziyārah of Madinah with 175 tasks you can tick off as you go and the duās for each stage. It follows Ḥajj at Tamattu according to the Ḥanafi school. Find it under Islamic Guides in the Services tab. Apple Watch, rebuilt • Complications are here — see the next prayer and countdown right on your watch face. • Friday and Eid prayer times now show automatically on the day. • A cleaner watch screen with the date, a live countdown bar, and a clearer highlight on the current prayer. Full Arabic support • The whole app, plus the Watch app and widgets, is now available in Arabic with right-to-left layout. Education Portal • A quick shortcut on the Home screen takes signed-in parents and teachers straight into the Portal. • Added a Support link inside the Portal. Better on iPad • The Home screen now fills the space with quick tiles instead of leaving it empty. • Tidier onboarding, a better-fitting Calendar, and a Portal layout that adapts to your screen. • Keyboard shortcuts (⌘1–⌘5) to jump between sections, plus trackpad hover effects.
