When the set time arrives, a cat appears and takes over your screen.
A cute Pomodoro-style desktop break timer.
Because it is a desktop app, Cat Gatekeeper can remind you to take breaks not only while
using a browser or specific social media sites, but also while working in other apps.
----------------------------
Do you get so focused on work that you suddenly realize you have been sitting for hours?
You know you should take a break, but you just keep going.
For someone with too much focus like you,
what you need is a cat that appears right in front of your screen!!
A cute fluffy creature that always interrupts you exactly when you are trying to work.
Cat Gatekeeper Desktop recreates that classic cat-owner experience on your desktop.
Well, if the cat is cute, there is nothing you can do...
After all, humans are merely servants of cats.
We cannot resist their charm.
Supreme beings! Adorable balls of fluff!
Let their cuteness soothe you, and make sure you take a proper break.

Good start for an idea

Definitely funny, especially since you can still sort of work behind the cat. My biggest gripe is that the app disappears from the dock after the first break. Then the only way I can see to get it to quit is through Activity Monitor.
Developer Response
Thanks for the review, and sorry about the Dock issue. We found that after closing the main window while the timer was idle, the app might not restore properly from the Dock. We’ve submitted an update with a fix, and this should be resolved in the next version once the update is approved. Thank you for pointing this out!
No Cat
Apenojob
I don’t why the cat is not showing up despite I clicked “start” in the display cat section :(i wanna see a cat.
Developer Response
Thanks for trying Cat Gatekeeper! Pressing “Start” begins the work timer. The cat appears when the work timer ends and break time begins. To see the cat quickly, set “Work time” to 1 minute and press “Start.” The “Display” setting only selects which screen the cat will appear on.
・Two new cats have joined the star cats in the monthly plan
・Check past updates from the bell next to the gear
・The menu bar icons no longer shift as the time left changes
