For GL.iNet & Mudi 7
Free · In‑App Purchases
Watch your GL.iNet travel router in real time: 5G/LTE signal, SIM data, VPN tunnels, pings and throughput, from your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Glint is a lightweight monitor for GL.iNet travel routers — Mudi 7, Beryl AX, Slate AX, GL-BE3600 and the rest. Native menu bar app on Mac, full-screen dashboard on iPhone & iPad. No middleware, no cloud. It connects directly to your router over SSH using a key you generate once.
WHAT YOU SEE LIVE
• Connection status & active WAN path (cellular / Wi-Fi repeater / Ethernet / tethering)
• SIM operator, signal bars, current rx/tx
• Battery level, charging state, runtime estimate
• Connected clients & uptime
GLINT PRO ADDS
• Throughput history graphs (10 min · 1h · 12h · 24h)
• Detailed cellular diagnostics — RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, IMSI, IMEI, band, MCC/MNC
• Multi-router profiles — flip between Mudi 7 at home and Slate AX in the bag with one tap
• Push & local alerts when WAN drops, SIM fails over, or signal drops below threshold
• Home Screen, Lock Screen widgets and Live Activity / Dynamic Island
• System logs viewer, speedtest history, power controls (reboot / modem reset)
• VPN status & toggle for WireGuard / OpenVPN / Tailscale tunnels
ONE PURCHASE — ALL YOUR DEVICES
Glint Pro unlocks across iPhone, iPad and Mac with a single one-time purchase. Family Sharing supported.
PRIVACY-FIRST
Glint never proxies your router traffic and never sees your data. The SSH key stays on-device. No analytics, no third-party servers.
WORKS WITH
GL.iNet firmware 4.x. Tested on Mudi 7, Mudi V2, Beryl AX, Slate AX, Flint AX1800, GL-BE3600, MT-3000.

more Fixes 5G Standalone (5G SA) signal details. RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, band, Cell ID and channel bandwidth now display correctly on 5G - previously they were blank and bandwidth showed a wrong value. 5G NSA is handled too. LTE is unchanged.
1.2.2 Jul 2
This update focuses on accuracy and stability:
- CPU usage now shows your router's real load instead of an overstated estimate.
- Smoother reconnect: reopening the app shows a brief "Reconnecting" spinner instead of flashing a connection error.
- Wi-Fi repeater now roams to the strongest access point for your saved network instead of locking onto one.
- Cleaner router detail card, plus reliability fixes to the on-router monitoring service.
1.2.1 Jun 2
- New detailed history graphs for every metric (10m to 24h, scrubbable).
- With the router daemon, graphs stay continuous while Glint is closed - 24h backfill on reconnect.
- Battery reading source (MCU / fuel-gauge) and clearer charge rate.
- Recoloured uplink timeline, accurate 0-100% CPU / Memory / Flash.
- Fixes for paywall scrolling and router-daemon detection on launch.
1.2 May 22
Reliability and routing fixes.
Faster dashboard:
- Pull-to-refresh on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac dashboard.
- SMS-list polling is throttled so the router CPU stays calm on
boards without coreutils-base64.
1.1.2 May 20
Multi-router on iPhone, iPad, and Mac
- The Saved routers panel in Settings now exists on every platform.
- Switch between routers from the chip at the top of the dashboard.
- Each row is renameable inline; swipe / trash icon to delete.
- iCloud syncs your routers, names, and per-router push toggle across all your Apple devices on the same Apple ID. SSH keys stay device-local.
Companion daemon installation
- Setup wizard now skips reinstall when the router already runs the latest daemon - saves 5-10 seconds per paired router.
- The Update card distinguishes "in-app update available" from "update Glint itself to deliver a newer daemon" instead of looping with a stale banner.
- Daemon-install on GL.iNet firmware v4.8.4 beta now works (previous HEAD-request probe is gone).
Battery card
- Mudi 7 and other routers running from mains without an internal Li-ion cell no longer show "0 % Discharging". The card hides itself when no battery is detected, matching the GL.iNet web UI.
Push notifications
- SMS push now identifies which SIM the message arrived on in the title.
- Tap a push to jump straight to that message in Messages, scrolling and selecting the exact row instead of just opening the section.
- WAN failover push names the actual interface family (cellular, Wi-Fi repeater, tethering, ethernet) rather than a generic label.
- New "Router shutting down" and "Router started" events fire on power-cycle and clean shutdown.
- APNs environment is now derived from the embedded provisioning profile, fixing push delivery for development-signed installs and several edge cases of "push works on iPhone but not Mac" or vice versa.
Mac dashboard
- Unread-SMS pill next to the router picker in the popover and unified-window header. Tap to open Messages.
Bug fixes
- SMS list timestamps now display in the device's local timezone (previously offset by your TZ from UTC).
- "Mark as read" on an SMS retries on a brief network hiccup so the unread badge stays cleared.
- About panel reads version and build directly from the running bundle - no more stale "0.5.0 (5)" on iPhone.
- Daemon's threshold engine now correctly reads the per-token APNs environment so sandbox tokens route through sandbox APNs and production through production.
- Help section "Can I monitor more than one router?" rewritten to match the current UI.
1.1.1 May 18
Multi-router support on Mac and iPhone
Add and switch between multiple routers from the dashboard header or menu bar. The wizard now reuses your existing SSH key when pairing a new router, so adding a second or third router never breaks the first.
Re-install SSH key recovery
New Settings - SSH key - "Re-install on router" flow signs in once with the router's web-UI password and re-authorises Glint's current key in a single step. Use when SSH stopped working after a key change on this device.
Smoother cold launch
The dashboard now shows a clean "Connecting…" placeholder for the first few seconds even on flaky LANs - no more false "Couldn't reach the router" alarm tile while the first SSH probe is still in flight.
Push notifications - environment-aware routing
APNs delivery now correctly routes development-signed builds through Apple's sandbox endpoint and production builds through the live endpoint. Notifications stop being silently dropped after switching between TestFlight and direct installs.
Live Activity toggle is now labelled
The top-bar antenna icon now reads "Live" with a clear Start/Stop affordance. No more "mystery button".
Lock Screen battery ring fix
The widget's circular battery ring now reaches a full circle when the level reads 100%, instead of stalling at the 12-o'clock mark.
Daemon companion improvements
- Update Daemon now shows a confirmation alert after a successful re-install ("glintd X.Y.Z is now running") instead of completing silently.
- Two-tier signing chain (offline root + online release key) protects auto-updates against future signing-key compromise.
- Added python3-codecs to the daemon installer's dependency list - fixes silent push-delivery failures on Slate 7 / GL-BE3600 stock firmware.
VPN switch cleanup
The Primary VPN toggle is now hidden entirely on routers with no tunnels configured, instead of rendering a disabled switch next to "—".
Hardware verified
This build was tested end-to-end on Flint 3 (GL-BE9300), Flint 3e (GL-BE6500), Puli AX (GL-XE3000), and Flint 2 (GL-MT6000). Mudi 7 (GL-E5800) and Slate 7 (GL-BE3600) remain the reference test boards.

Multi-router switcher (Pro)
Tap the router name in the dashboard header to jump between every router you've added — Mudi 7, Slate 7, Flint 3, Puli AX, anything OpenWrt with SSH. Each row in the switcher shows a live status dot (green = direct, amber = via tunnel, dim = unreachable) so you can see which boxes are reachable before you tap. A per-router bell lets you silence push notifications on one router without disturbing the others.
Cleaner Settings
• Push notifications and Live Activity fields now share the same icon-prefixed row style for a faster scan.
• Saved routers list removed — adding, renaming and switching live in the switcher menu itself.
• Removed the "last known state" block that no longer made sense once the dashboard always shows live data.
Toolbar and connect-state polish
• The router name stays visible from the moment you switch, with a "connecting…" subtitle instead of the previous brief blank.
• If a router is unreachable, the dashboard goes straight to the Cannot Connect screen with a one-tap link to Settings, instead of waiting on the skeleton for 30 seconds.
• The Add Router wizard now has a Cancel button so you can back out of adding a second router.
Bug fixes
• Endpoints you saved on one router no longer disappear when you switch away and back.
• Active SIM and last-update timestamp are accurate per router after switching.
• The push-notifications bell icon keeps its colour after changing the accent theme.
Tested hardware
Big thanks to Admon for testing Glint on the Flint 3e (GL-BE6500) and the Puli AX (GL-XE3000).
1.0.3 May 11
Fixes a visual regression on iOS 26 where the toolbar
at the top of the dashboard rendered with two Liquid
Glass capsules around the endpoint pill and toolbar
buttons. Toolbar is now flat again, matching the
dashboard background. No change on iOS 17–25.
1.0.2 May 9
Compatibility: Glint now supports iOS 17.0 and later (was iOS 26.4).
1.0.1 May 9
Fixes 5G Standalone (5G SA) signal details. RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, band, Cell ID and channel bandwidth now display correctly on 5G - previously they were blank and bandwidth showed a wrong value. 5G NSA is handled too. LTE is unchanged.
