more New Explore tab, to discover new people
The Feed now has an Explore tab, showing workouts from everyone in the app with a public profile — alongside your usual Gang feed. We also redesigned the streak icon (flame) across every screen, and follow suggestions now vary more and no longer include people who've never worked out. We also fixed a real bug: giving props wouldn't update the button outside the main Feed, the sets field could sometimes duplicate digits while building a workout, and we made the Gains card (after watching the bonus ad) and the profile's won-challenges list more compact.
2.6.6 5d ago
Faster add-exercise screen
The add-exercise screen got lighter — thumbnails now only load once they appear on screen, instead of all at once. Under the hood, we also improved the app's error monitoring and stability.
2.6.4 Sep 10
Gains on the Home screen and a new personal records list
The Home screen now shows your Gains balance right next to your streak — tap it to jump straight to the Wallet. Profile got a new personal records screen: tap "PRS" to see every record you've set, with the date and, when available, the workout it happened in. On top of that, photos in Feed and Profile cards are now square, and we now show our own promo cards instead of ads whenever they fail to load.
2.6.3 Sep 8
See how much Gains you earned from your workout
After finishing a workout, the result screen now shows how much Gains you earned — with a button to watch an ad and earn even more. On top of that, check-ins and workouts imported from Apple Health now earn XP based on duration and calories instead of a flat amount, and the Wallet now has direct Cashback and Coupons links in the menu.
2.6.2 Sep 6
Apple Health now syncs on its own
Connected Apple Health? Your workouts can now be imported automatically, even while GymGang is closed — no need to open the app every time. Choose between importing right away or just getting notified, from the toggle in Settings or the sync screen itself, and get a notification letting you know what happened.
2.6.1 Sep 3
Challenges got its own tab
Challenges now has its own spot in the bottom bar, with each competition's leaderboard shown right in the list. Every challenge's screen was rebuilt to show your position and the rule in one place, and ended challenges now offer a one-tap rematch with the same crew.
2.6.0 Sep 1
New stickers for sharing your workout
Share your workout with transparent, Strava-style stickers — three different layouts to overlay on your own photos and videos in Stories. If you added a photo when finishing, the share screen now opens automatically, and calories and distance now show up when available too.
2.5.2 Aug 30
Finish-workout screen now checks Apple Health on its own
When you finish a workout, the app now automatically looks for your latest Apple Health record, no need to leave and come back to the screen. If it still doesn't show up, you can try again anytime with the new refresh button.
2.5.1 Aug 23
Quick check-in: log an activity without a full workout
You can now log that you did an activity without building a full workout — just a photo, description, location and activity type, straight from the Home tab's workout button. Pick from hundreds of activities or import directly from Apple Health, and it all counts for XP, Gains and your streak just like a full workout. As a bonus, you can now also adjust the start and end time when finishing a live workout.
2.5.0 Aug 19
Importing from Apple Health got more detailed
When importing a workout from Apple Health, you now go through the same comment, photo and location step as finishing a live workout — and you can link the import to one of your own routines. When available, the workout's calories and distance are also saved and show up on the session details.
2.4.1 Aug 11
Import workouts from Apple Health
Train with an Apple Watch or another app? You can now import those workouts straight into GymGang from Apple Health — they count for XP, Gains, and show up on your Feed just like any other, no restrictions at all. When you finish a workout in the app, you can also link it to a matching Apple Health workout from the same time, so everything stays as one single record.
2.4.0 Aug 10
Challenges just got a lot more complete
You can now leave a challenge whenever you want, delete one you created, and tap any participant on the ranking to see exactly which workouts are counting toward their score. Creating a challenge also got the option to require a photo or location to count.
On top of that, you can now edit or report a workout post, and the XP you earned shows up right on the card in your Feed.
2.3.0 Aug 4
Organise your workouts into folders and duplicate with a tap
You can now create folders to organise your workouts. Deleting a folder never deletes the workouts inside it — they just move back to the general list.
You can also duplicate any workout, whether it's your own or one shared by your Gang. A copy lands straight in your list, ready to edit however you like.
2.2.0 Aug 3
Train offline and track your workout right from the Lock Screen
You can now do your workout even without an internet connection — everything syncs automatically once you're back online.
On iPhone, keep track of your current exercise, sets and rest time right from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, without opening the app.
You can also reorder exercises in your routine by dragging and dropping, and pick your language straight from the login screen.
2.1.0 Jul 29
GymGang has a fresh new look, XP and AI-generated routines
GymGang got a brand new look across every screen, built to make your day-to-day training faster and more enjoyable.
Every workout now earns you XP: level up as you train and track your progress right on your profile, with a special celebration every time you level up.
Pro subscribers can also generate personalized workout routines with AI — just tell it your experience level, weekly frequency, available equipment and goal, and it builds a routine for you in seconds, ready to save to your library.
2.0.0 Jul 28
Timed exercises, Apple Watch sync and Live Activity timer
Exercises like planks, treadmill and carries now use a count-up timer instead of rep counting. Start the timer, hit your goal time (shown on screen with a flag), and stop when you're done — the set saves automatically. You can also pause and resume without losing your count.
The timer syncs in real time with your Apple Watch. Start it on your phone and the watch shows it running. Start it on the watch and the phone follows. Stop on either side and both stop together.
The Dynamic Island and Lock Screen Live Activity now shows the exercise timer in MM:SS format while you count, switching back to the session elapsed time when you're done.
Apple Watch gets a full UI update: time exercises show the timer with a goal indicator, reps-only exercises hide the weight field. New exercises you add mid-workout appear on the watch immediately, and the watch automatically switches to whichever exercise you're timing.
1.6.1 Jun 15
Routine upgrades, @mentions in comments and new covers
Tap any routine card to see the full exercise list with sets, reps and rest before starting. Reorder exercises with drag-and-drop in the routine builder. Add an exercise mid-workout and choose to save it to the routine or keep it for that session only.
Tag friends in session comments by typing @username — they'll receive a notification. Tagged names are highlighted and tap to go to their profile.
Routine covers are now real training photos organised by muscle group. A banner on the home and routines screens lets you jump back into an active workout instantly. The feed now shows only people you follow.
1.6.0 Jun 10
Sign in with Google and Apple
You can now create an account or sign in using your Google or Apple account — no password needed. Tap the Google or Apple button on the login screen to get started in seconds.

What's New
77 Sports & Activities
You can now log any sport as a workout — from Basketball and Boxing to Yoga and Futevôlei. Search for your activity by name and track it alongside your gym sessions.
Edit Session Start & End Time
Forgot to start the timer? Finished early? On the workout summary screen you can now adjust the start and end time before saving, so your session history is always accurate.
Camera Support for Workout Photos
You can now take a photo directly with your camera when finishing a workout, in addition to choosing one from your gallery.
Smarter Session Resume
When you return to an active workout within 3 hours, the session resumes automatically — no prompt needed. Sessions older than 3 hours still ask whether you want to continue or start fresh.
Fixes & Improvements
- Volume Intensity card is now hidden for sessions without weighted exercises
- Live Activities no longer duplicate when resuming a session
- Routine estimated duration now correctly accounts for time-based exercises
- Loading indicator on the Finish button while auto-completing sets

Widget for Lock Screen and Home Screen
You can now add a GymGang widget to your iPhone lock screen or home screen and see your progress at a glance — no need to open the app.
The widget shows your current streak, whether you've already trained today, and the name of your last workout. When a workout is in progress, it switches to show the active session — tap it to jump straight back into the workout.
Available in three lock screen sizes (circular, rectangular, and inline) and two home screen sizes (small and medium).
Live Activity on the Dynamic Island
When you start a workout, a Live Activity appears on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. You can see your current exercise and set progress in real time — and skip your rest timer directly from the lock screen without unlocking your phone.
Tap it at any time to open the active workout screen instantly.
