• Skip the alert by keyword. In Settings, General, Alerts, add words like Lunch or PTO under "Don't alert for meetings containing". Those meetings stay in your agenda, marked "No full-screen alert". • "Show alert" is now a simple menu with 10 and 30 seconds, and Custom… for any time from 5 seconds to 15 minutes. Your current setting stays as it is. • Join now works with meeting links wrapped by Microsoft Safe Links, Proofpoint and Barracuda. Slapss unwraps them on your Mac and opens the meeting directly. • Fixed: the alert timing read "1 minutes before".

A fresh look for Slapss. • New full-screen alert: it glides in, counts down, and glows when it's time to join. If you're running late, it gives you a nudge. • Redesigned menu bar agenda: your next meeting comes alive as it gets close, and every meeting shows its calendar color. • New app icon and a warm new look across the app, from the welcome window to Settings. • The alert stays easy to read even when your Mac is in light mode. • Fixed: the menu bar popup kept animating in the background after you closed it, using battery for nothing. • All motion respects Reduce Motion. Slapss now requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later.

Meetings running right now are listed under Later today. - Fixed: an uncompleted reminder was greyed out as done once its time passed. It now stays at the top until you complete it. - Every meeting in the agenda with an online link has its own Join button. - Slapss now speaks Japanese.

The menu bar used to show your next meeting only once it was 15 minutes away. Now you choose: Off, When it's close, or Anytime today, under Preferences > General > Menu bar. Meetings more than an hour away show their start time instead of a countdown.

Fixed: if you use Slapss with a Microsoft 365 account and haven't given it access to the macOS Calendar app, the menu bar showed your next meeting, but opening it said "Calendar access denied" instead of showing your agenda. Your agenda now appears whenever a Microsoft 365 account is signed in. Access to the macOS Calendar app is optional, and always was. Fixed: Microsoft 365 calendars could stop refreshing in the background, while a menu was open or after macOS put Slapss to sleep. New and changed meetings now arrive on time. Slapss no longer asks macOS for read-only access to files you pick yourself. Nothing in the app ever used it.

Slapss is now open source. The complete source code is on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 licence. Slapss has always said your calendar data never leaves your Mac — now you don't have to take our word for it. Also fixed: a repeating meeting would stop showing its full-screen alert after you dismissed it once. Every occurrence of a repeating event was treated as the same event, so dismissing one also dismissed all the following ones — while the menu bar countdown kept working normally. Snoozing and hiding from the menu bar were affected the same way, and are fixed too. Everything else is unchanged. Same app, same features, still free, still no accounts and no tracking.

Fixed: Snooze could appear to do nothing on the full-screen alert in macOS 27 beta. The snooze choices now open reliably inside the alert. Fixed: Calendars now reappear in Settings without restarting Slapss after you remove and re-add a macOS Calendar account.

Set your own lead time for the full-screen alert with a simple slider: at meeting start, 30 seconds, or anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes before (Settings > Alert > Show alert). Handy if you need a few extra minutes to walk to the meeting room. Busy day? The agenda now scrolls instead of growing past the bottom of your screen. Short days look exactly the same as before. The full-screen alert's Join button now follows your color theme, and a small hint shows the keyboard shortcuts that were always there: Return to join, Esc to dismiss. And much more

New setting to only show the full-screen alert for meetings you've accepted (Settings > Alert). Tentative and declined meetings still appear in the agenda but won't trigger the overlay. Off by default. Alerts for meetings whose start was missed by more than 10 minutes (for example while your Mac was asleep overnight) no longer pile up when you reopen the lid.

Fixed high background CPU usage (~40%) when the popover is closed. Animations now pause when the app is idle. Reduced Motion: all animations (blobs, floating dots, pulsing dots, background mesh) respect the macOS Accessibility > Reduce Motion setting. Full-screen alert can now be shown up to 1 minute before a meeting starts (Settings > Alert > Show alert). About section now shows the app website and support email instead of the developer's personal contact. Version number in About no longer shows the build number. Welcome tour: language selection is now the first step, so the rest of the setup runs in your language. Welcome tour: lead-time picker now includes a 1-minute option.

Reminders now get the same full-screen alert as meetings. When a reminder is due, the overlay fires automatically with a Complete button - tap it to mark the reminder done without leaving the app. You can also complete reminders directly from the agenda in the menu bar popover by tapping the circle icon next to any reminder. The reminder overlay can be turned off in Settings → General → Alerts if you prefer the previous behavior.

This release is about fitting Slapss into the way you actually work. New - Multi-monitor alerts. Switch on the full-screen alert across every connected display, so it lands in front of you no matter which screen you're looking at. Off by default, so single-screen setups are unchanged. - A Google account per calendar. If you're signed into more than one Google account, choose which one opens each calendar's Google Meet links so meetings open with the right profile. - A tidier menu bar. Decide whether the menu bar shows your next meeting's title and countdown, or just the icon. - The menu bar and the popover now always agree on which meeting is current. Fixed - Your calendar selection is respected after you restart the app. Previously Slapss could alert on calendars you hadn't selected until you reopened settings.
