Your phone has a meditation app, a journal, and a chatbot. None of them will tell you what to do tonight. Counsel will. Five historical strategists. One committed move.
You don't need another journaling prompt. You need a room where someone has thought about hard things before, and is willing to tell you what they actually see.
Counsel is that room. You type the situation you're sitting with — the cofounder dispute, the parent in decline, the partner who won't go to therapy, the friend who married someone you don't trust, the boss who undermines you, the move you might be making for the wrong reasons. You choose three to five mentors from a council of sixteen historical figures: Marcus Aurelius, Sun Tzu, Machiavelli, Cleopatra, Buddha, Eleanor Roosevelt, Frederick Douglass, Virginia Woolf, and others. You tap Convene.
The council convenes, and you have your answer. Each mentor's view in their own voice, anchored by a verbatim quote with its citation. You see where they agree, where they don't (this is the most useful part), what one move they'd commit to, and a concrete action you can take tonight.

A chatbot gives you a smoothed-over average. Counsel gives you a structured disagreement. When Marcus Aurelius and Machiavelli look at the same situation, they don't agree — and the gap between them is where most people find the answer they couldn't see alone.
