Dialist Private Exchange is the wholesale watch app only for approved Dialist marketplace dealers in the US and Canada. This app is not the Dialist marketplace, which is the website dialist.com where collectors buy watches. In the Private Exchange, dealers trade wholesale inventory with each other.
There is no sign-up in the app. Dealers sign in with the dialist.com dealer account they already have, using email and password, Google or Apple. The account must be approved and active on dialist.com. Not a dealer yet? Apply at dialist.com. Dealers can also turn on two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app.
Your store name, logo and location come from your dialist.com store, so you update them there. Your profile links back to your dialist.com storefront when it is live.
How deals work
Dialist does not handle payments in the exchange. Deals are made directly between dealers. Each seller sets reservation terms in the listing, such as pay first or local pickup only. Reserving a watch takes no payment in the app. It holds the listing and notifies the seller, and the two dealers settle payment and shipping between themselves.
Inventory
- List new and pre-owned watches from the catalog by brand, model or reference number.
- Add 3 to 10 photos, the year, condition, and box and papers.
- Set your price, choose whether to allow offers, and write your reservation terms, for example references required for holds.
- Set shipping for the US, Canada and international, free or at a set cost.
- Manage drafts, active and reserved listings, sorted by price, offers or views.
Sourcing
- Search listings for sale, want to buy requests and dealers.
- Filter listings by brand, price, condition or box and papers, or show only listings that accept offers.
- Post a want to buy request with the reference, year, the conditions you accept and how strong the call is. Dealers who have the piece can message you.
- Save watches to come back to.
Offers and orders
- Send an offer on a listing that accepts offers. Offers expire if they are not answered in time.
- Accept, decline or counter the offers you receive.
- Buy Now places a reservation at the asking price. The seller is notified and an order opens for both dealers.
- Track each order. Both dealers confirm to mark it complete.
Reference checks
- Start a reference check on an order.
- Other dealers can vouch for the buyer or the seller and add comments.
- See each dealer's reference history on their profile.
Messages and connections
- One inbox for messages, offers and inquiries, with filters and search.
- Send photos, files and voice notes.
- Message any dealer from their profile.
- Connect with the dealers you trade with and see their listings on Home.
- Get push notifications for offers, inquiries, messages, orders and reference checks.
- Mute or archive a chat, and report or block a dealer.

Is this the Dialist marketplace?
No. Dialist runs two products. The Dialist marketplace is the website dialist.com, where collectors buy watches. Dialist Private Exchange is this app, where dealers trade with each other.
Can I create an account in the app?
No. Dealer accounts are created on dialist.com, and your access to the app comes from your dealer approval there.
What if I can't sign in?
The app tells you what is missing, such as dealer approval, the dealer agreement or an unfinished storefront, and what to finish on dialist.com.
