WHY XLPRINTER
Most poster-printing tools — including Preview and Acrobat — get the basics wrong. They ignore your printer's non-printable margins, so trimming the white border crops your content. They reverse page order in Print to PDF. They force you to think in sheet counts when you actually want a 24-inch poster. XLPrinter fixes all of this.
KEY FEATURES
• Margin compensation, on by default. Non-printable strips are shown in the live preview as dimmed regions, and the layout adjusts so nothing is lost when you trim and assemble.
• Specify output size your way. Pick a number of pages (cols × rows), a physical size in inches or millimetres, or a fit mode (fit-to-width, fit-to-height, or 100%).
• PDF input is first-class. Drop in a multi-page PDF, choose the page to tile, and XLPrinter renders it as vector at print resolution — blueprints and infographics stay crisp at any scale.
• Live preview of the tiled layout, with optional registration marks and overlap for clean assembly.
• Correct page order, every time. Top-left to bottom-right, both for direct printing and Print to PDF — so the stack you pull out of the printer is the stack you assemble.
• Export the tiled layout as a multi-page PDF for any print shop.
• Native macOS feel: toolbar, inspector pane, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, drag-and-drop, SF Symbols.
