Bailamos 1.9.0 — small steps, smoother moves. • Your feed filters now stay put when you flip between days, so you're not re-entering "bachata, under $20, nearby" every time like it's a warm-up drill. • The app also stopped nervously asking you to sign back in when nothing was actually wrong — it's found its center. • The rest is behind-the-scenes polish. Now stop reading patch notes and go dance.

• Tap your city at the top of Discover to switch regions, or snap back to your current location. Previously, changing could only be done via the Profile page. Too many taps for our liking.

New skill-level chips tell you exactly what you're walking into, so you don't accidentally turn-pattern your way into an advanced footwork class on night one. ∙ Cards that stay put — Event cards used to shuffle around between app opens like they heard their song come on. Now they hold their position.

New moves this release • Live event cards now show how much time's left on the floor — "20 mins left" hits different when the DJ's finally cooking. Ended events step aside gracefully so you're not chasing a party that's already gone home. • Smarter dance filter — pick your family (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba…) then drill into sub-styles. Your feet already know the difference; now your feed does too. • Sharper event details — live-aware timing and a cleaner venue view, so you know exactly where to be and when. • Polish & bug fixes — smoothed the rough edges so nothing steps on your toes.

• Tap an "other night," actually land on that night. Our navigation had a brief identity crisis — it's feeling much better now. • "Other nights here" now shows up in your Saved events too, with real upcoming dates instead of ghosts of parties past. • Classes now say "Cost" instead of "Cover" — a beginner bachata lesson isn't a nightclub. • Tidied up the map cards and evicted a rogue extra dollar sign that wandered into prices ($$13, we hardly knew ye). • Blank prices no longer pretend to be "Free." Nice try, mystery events. Now go dance.

Google Earth Called, It Wants Its Bit Back ・Tap "Fly Over Venue" on any event and swoop down into a fully interactive 3D satellite view of the spot — buildings, rooftops, the whole neighborhood. Pinch, rotate, zoom in until you can practically read the parking signs. No pilot's license required. Use it to scope out the vibe before you show up, or just to feel like you're planning a heist. We don't judge.

No more showing up wondering if "TBD" is a person. ・A Little DJ Booth Magic Tap the DJ's avatar on any event and watch the record flip into a compact disk. It does nothing useful. What's New in 1.2 • A fresh new look. Softer colors, nicer type, cards you'll want to tap. The whole app got a glow-up — we're not saying the old design was bad, but we're not not saying it. • Midnight no longer kills the party. Socials that run past 12 used to vanish from the map at the stroke of midnight, Cinderella-style. Now they stay put and show as "Happening now" until the last song — because 12:30am is exactly when you need to know where the dance floor is. • Your city, your call. Browse any live city as a guest, or let GPS do the work. Either way, the app finally remembers your choice instead of asking you every time like a needy ex. • Fresh events get a NEW badge, so you'll never miss a social that just dropped. • Bug fixes: the keyboard now gets out of the way when asked, venue search results stay selected on the first tap (not the second — sorry about that), and the "no internet" banner learned to let go once you're back online.

Enter your city or zip once and the app keeps it — no more being asked where you are every single time you open the app. We were starting to feel like that friend who never remembers your name. • Typed in your zip code? The feed now shows events near you — not a salsa social three states away. Unless you're up for the road trip, in which case, respect. • New in Profile: Change location. Heading somewhere new for the weekend? Point the app at any city and see where the dancing's at before you even pack. • Retired the infinite loading spinner. The only thing that should spin forever is you. If the app ever loses track of where you are, it now simply asks — one tap and you're back on the floor.
