GR Snap is the iOS companion app for Ricoh GR cameras. Browse photos on your camera, download them in full resolution, and shoot remotely from your iPhone or iPad.
Main features
- Wireless transfer: JPG, DNG, and MOV formats. Single or batch download, saved directly to your Photos library.
- Lock Screen and Dynamic Island progress: see download status while the app is in the background, and get a notification when each one finishes.
- Remote shooting: use your device as the viewfinder, compose, focus, and release the shutter from a distance.
- Camera parameter sync: aperture, shutter speed, and ISO update in real time, and can be changed from the app.
- Batch select and share: swipe to select multiple photos, download or share them all at once.
- Pinch to view at actual size.
Compatible cameras
Ricoh GR III, GR IIIx (including the HDF Edition), and GR IV support wireless transfer, Bluetooth wake, live view, and remote shooting. GR II supports manual Wi-Fi transfer only; Bluetooth wake, live view, and remote shooting are unavailable. Works without upgrading your camera firmware.
Privacy
Photos stay between the camera and your device. They are not sent to a server. The app does not collect information that identifies you.

Between Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji and Ricoh they all share one thing in common: completely worthless companion apps. For over fifteen years, all I’ve wanted from them their apps is seamless Bluetooth pairing, easy file transfer, and a decent enough remote shutter (with or without a viewfinder). This app does all that somehow better than all five of those brands and then some. These multibillion dollar companies should be ashamed they don’t have apps half as good as this one. I don’t know if it’s possible, but I would love to see this same app for at least Fuji cameras as well
