Refreshed app icon. Improved handling of external links and diagnostic reporting for app stability.

Select whole folders and subfolders for packing. Archivr now remembers where you save archives.

Choose folders as well as files when packing on iOS. Pack, Unpack and Remove password are now clear separate actions, and archive error handling is improved.

The Password screen no longer calls a PDF an archive, whether you are adding a password or removing one. The wording now matches the file you actually picked, in every supported language. The confirmation after setting a password says “Password added” instead of “Password updated” — a file that had no password had nothing to update. The new-version notice points only to the newest release actually available in the App Store, and it never blocks the app.

• Italian language • Archivr opens in your device language automatically, including a language set only for Archivr • Ready for iOS 27 • Contact: Apple Mail is offered again • Password screen: clearer guidance for archives without a password and for empty archives • The tracking permission prompt is shown in your language • Notice when a new version of Archivr is available • Better layout at the largest text sizes • Stability and privacy improvements in crash diagnostics

• Improved encrypted ZIP extraction for filenames containing special characters. • Better text, input fields and navigation at larger system font sizes. • Clearer contrast and file-selection guidance. • Dependency license information is available offline.

• Contacting support now works even if your phone has no default email app — pick an app or copy the address. • The support email address is shown on the contact screen and can be copied with one tap. • Messages to support no longer include the device name you set yourself. • Reporting a bug or suggesting a feature is easier to find — the app now points you to it and it always lives on the contact screen. • Small fixes and improvements.

• Improved file and folder packing, preserving original filenames and empty 7z directories. • Lower memory use for ZIP, TAR and TAR.GZ, with clearer damaged archive, password and storage errors. • Improved large-text layouts and completed translations. • Stronger protection of private data in diagnostics. • Premium restoration respects current App Store purchase entitlements. • History shows archive sizes and includes selective extraction.

When an encrypted ZIP was made from a folder, Archivr treated it as unprotected: it unpacked without asking for the password, said it succeeded, and left you files that were still encrypted. Detection now reads the whole archive index, and a failed extraction is never reported as a success. Also fixed: "Add more files" replaced your selection instead of adding to it. Switching to TAR with a password on left the screen stuck. PDFs are no longer offered on the Unpack screen, which cannot open them - it points you to the Password screen instead. A wrong password when browsing an archive now says so. New: when you add a password you can choose the output format, so a ZIP can become a 7z and hide its file names. PDFs use a 128-bit key rather than AES-256, and the app now says that plainly.

New: hide the file names inside your archives. • Encrypted file names for 7z. When you set a password on a 7z archive you can now also encrypt the file names. With the option on — and it is on by default — nobody can even see the file list without the password. Turn it off and the names stay readable while the contents remain encrypted with AES-256. File names in ZIP and TAR archives are always visible; that is how those formats work. • Android can do this too, for the first time. Until now only the iPhone and iPad version could hide file names, so the same app with the same password produced two different archives. Both platforms now behave identically. • An archive whose file names are encrypted now asks you for the password instead of claiming that the password is wrong. • A damaged archive that was never encrypted is no longer reported as a password problem. • Packing a folder into a ZIP archive no longer produces an empty file.

Fixes for sharing and saving archives. • Sharing and saving 7z archives works again. After packing files to 7z, "Share" and "Save to Files" could fail with an error — the archives themselves were fine, they just could not be sent onward. Unpacking a 7z archive could also wrongly report that the extracted folder had disappeared. • On Android, "Save to Files" now really saves. It asks you to pick a folder and writes the archive there, instead of opening the general share menu. • A wrong ZIP password is recognised even when the archive does not declare encryption in its header. You now get a password prompt instead of an unpack failure. • Archive passwords are no longer offered to the system password manager. An archive password is used once for that operation and is never stored.

We fixed how the system permission request for personalized ads is displayed. This version also includes minor stability improvements for more reliable archive creation and extraction.

Fixed: users with an active Premium purchase are no longer asked about ad preferences or app tracking at launch. If you have Premium, there are no ads, so there is nothing to ask about. Updated the app's privacy declaration so it accurately reflects how ads work for free users.

New look across the app — refreshed layout, type and colour make creating and unlocking password-protected archives feel cleaner. Ads remain optional and non-personalised; premium removes them for good. Plus stability and performance fixes.
