Discboard comes along for the drive, and every board can now be seen as a list or a grid. Discboard is on CarPlay. Browse your discboards from the car — folders and all, in the same order as on your iPhone, each board wearing its thumbnail and each album its cover — and tap one to play. The Now Playing screen carries a full set of Discboard controls: favorite the playing track, set its star rating, tune the playback filter, and open Up Next to see the album's tracks, each with its heart and stars, and jump straight to any of them. See any board as a list or a grid. A toolbar menu switches between the classic Discboard view, a scrolling list, and a grid of covers, so even a crowded board is easy to scan — and tapping an album plays it in every view. Choose how they're ordered, too: by how they're stacked on the board, by album, by artist, or by artist and year. Each discboard remembers its own choice on all your devices, and CarPlay follows it, with an Order By button in the car to change it from there. The list has an Edit button of its own. Remove an album with a tap, or — while ordering by stacking order — drag rows by their handle to restack the board itself. Everywhere Discboard asks you to pick a board — the Move To… menu on a cover, the Discboards list in the Mac menu bar, the picker you get when you send an album over from Apple Music — your folders now appear nested, in the same order as your discboards list. And in the player, the star-rating and favorites controls now respond even while the playback filter is switched off: tapping one turns the filter on for you, so choosing a threshold takes one tap instead of two. We also fixed a handful of crashes — deleting the board you were looking at, and a few that could strike in the app's first moments when the system opened it in the background. Folders for your discboards, boards you can share as animations, and a smoother ride all around. You can now group your discboards into folders — and tuck folders inside folders. Drag a board onto a folder to file it, or use Move to Folder, which now mirrors your hierarchy and can create a new folder on the spot. The + button offers New Discboard and New Folder, joined by ⌘N and ⇧⌘N in the File menu on Mac and iPad. Creating folders is part of Discboard Premium. Share a board as an animation. The Showcase style gives every album its own moment — each cover spins in, holds the frame, then slams into place — while the Appear style sweeps the whole board full in seconds. Pick the pace and the order, watch a live preview, and share it wide, or tall for phone-sized video. Prefer a still? Share any board as a high-resolution image. Either way, your covers keep their jewel-case shine. Boards got more personal too. Drag an image from Photos, Files, or Finder onto a board to make it the wallpaper — or onto the discboards list to start a new board already wearing it. And each board now keeps its own Arrange spacing, so the margins and the gap between covers can suit its backdrop. Pressing play from your headphones, the lock screen, Control Center, Siri, or your car now reaches Discboard and picks up where you left off. On Mac, the player is now its own free-floating, resizable window. On iPhone, the app reopens wherever you left it, and a board's editing controls fan out along the side of the screen. Backups now carry more of your library — your folders, your imported wallpapers, and each board's arrange settings all travel with the file. And there's polish throughout: smoother dragging and reordering in the discboards list, tidier rows, and fixes for boards that wouldn't open on iPhone and a rare crash on Mac. When it fills the window it now runs right to the edges for a more immersive look, while the cover and controls stay clear of the status bar, notch, and Dynamic Island. Opening, closing, and resizing it feels smoother, and it's easier on the battery — the board behind it rests while it's out of sight. You can now drag albums straight in from Apple Music — one at a time, a handful at once, or a whole playlist to start a new board from its albums. On Mac, you can also copy an album in Apple Music and paste it right onto a board. And when a board starts to feel crowded, Arrange tidies every cover into a neat grid in a single tap — by title, by artist, or by artist and year. We also spent time on the details. Album covers and wallpapers show up reliably the moment you open the app, and tapping a track by name is as dependable as the play button. A couple of fixes for smoother listening. We fixed a hiccup where the player could get stuck on an earlier song — showing the wrong track and a frozen progress bar — while your music kept playing. It now stays in step with whatever's actually playing. A player that fits, a window that bends, and two more languages. The now-playing player now sizes itself to the space it has — one column when things are tight, and two side by side, with the track list next to the cover, when there's room to spread out. Nothing to switch; it just settles into whatever fits. On Mac and iPad, you can now resize the window however you like — pull it right down to a small, tidy size and the sidebar steps out of the way on its own, so a little Discboard window is as easy to use as a big one. Discboard now speaks Welsh and Finnish too, bringing it to 13 languages — it follows whatever language your device is set to. And on Mac and iPad, new keyboard shortcuts let you play, pause, and skip right from the keyboard.
