PreBrief now opens with its own mark — and a sound, if you want one. • The opening — the tick draws itself, its tip takes off as an aircraft, and the mark lifts away to show your trips. It lasts under two seconds, plays when the app starts rather than each time you switch back to it, and a tap anywhere sends it away. • The sound — a rush of air under the stroke and two rising notes as it lands. It follows your ring/silent switch, stays silent if you already have something playing, and has its own switch in Settings › Startup. • If you'd rather nothing moved — with Reduce Motion on, the finished mark simply fades in and out. With VoiceOver on, the opening is skipped and PreBrief goes straight to your trips.

Add a trip from your calendar, and share it with whoever is meeting you. • Find it in my calendar — if your flight is already in your calendar, PreBrief fills in the trip for you: no typing, and no flight lookup spent. It tells you what it reads before iOS asks for permission, reads your calendar on your device, and keeps nothing except the flight you choose to add. You check every detail before it is saved. • Honest about where times came from — a trip built from your calendar says so, and keeps saying so until PreBrief has matched it against the airline's schedule. If the airline's time differs from your calendar's, PreBrief shows you both rather than claiming your flight has moved. • Share a flight — the share button on any trip sends its details as plain text: flight, times, terminal and gate. Nobody needs an account or the app to read it. Because a copy can't update itself, it says which time zone its times are in, when they were last checked with the airline, and when it was sent. • Fixed — choosing "Add manually instead" after typing a flight number such as EK231 no longer leaves the airline code in the flight-number field.

Your flight, at a glance. • Widgets — your next flight on the Home Screen and Lock Screen: the countdown, what's due next on your checklist and, with Plus, when to leave. A widget that hasn't heard from PreBrief in a day asks you to open the app, rather than show a countdown it can't vouch for. • Live Activities — on the day you fly, your flight sits on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island: the countdown, your terminal and gate, and exactly when PreBrief last checked with the airline. It won't look more certain than it is. Part of Plus. • Your own checklist items — add anything the captain's checklist can't know about and choose when you're reminded. Move items up or down, snooze one for an hour, four hours or a day, and PreBrief offers the items you've written again on your next trip — it never adds them without asking. • Leave-by follows your flight — when the airline moves your departure, your leave-by alert is recalculated for the new time, even if you never open the trip. Your flight changes. Now so does your briefing. • Flight Watch — PreBrief re-checks your flight against the airline's schedule and tells you when it moves. A retimed departure updates your countdown, shifts every checklist alert, and rebuilds your leave-by time. Cancellations get their own alert. • Honest about what it can promise — PreBrief checks when you open it, and periodically in the background when your device allows. It can't guarantee catching a change while the app is closed, so every trip shows exactly when it was last checked. • Stronger compensation claims — PreBrief now records the departure time you booked, separately from the one the airline is showing. Your EU261 / UK261 / US DOT claim email cites both, plus the date the change was recorded. • Travel documents — save your passport's expiry date and PreBrief checks it against where you're going: "Thailand requires 6 months' validity on arrival — you're 8 days short." Reminders at nine and three months before it expires. • Dates and countries only — PreBrief never asks for or stores document numbers. Background flight checking is part of Plus. Free trips still check for changes whenever you open the app, and your passport validity is checked on every tier.

Better on iPad. • Trip details, the subscription screen, and onboarding now sit in a comfortable, centered column on iPad and larger screens instead of stretching edge to edge — easier to read at a glance. iPhone is unchanged. No new permissions; same private, no-sign-in design.

A bigger, safer travel briefing. • Verify entry rules at the source. Every destination now has a "Verify entry rules" link — to the country's official government page where we have one, or the IATA Travel Centre otherwise — so you always reach the current, authoritative answer. • Travel-authorization awareness. PreBrief now recognises electronic travel authorizations (like the UK ETA) as their own status — "Travel authorization needed" — separate from visas, because they must be sorted before you fly. • Passport-validity safety check. International trips now remind you that many destinations require 6+ months passport validity on arrival, and some ask for an onward ticket or blank pages. • Arrival essentials. The destination card now shows the local emergency number and tipping norm alongside currency, plug type and eSIM. As always, bundled entry data is a convenience preview — the in-app verify links take you to the official source. No new permissions; same private, no-sign-in design.

Notifications that actually read like a briefing. • Each reminder now leads with what to do and why — the captain's note for that step — instead of a cryptic countdown code. A relative lead time ("In 2 hours") sits right below. • A trip's reminders now stack into a single group on your lock screen instead of scattering as separate banners. • When you're already looking at a trip, its reminders no longer interrupt you with a redundant banner. A more polished pre-flight. • Your departure terminal and gate now show right on the trip, when known. • Know-your-rights is now front and center on delayed/eligible flights instead of buried below the checklist. • Completed checklist items settle to the bottom, each section shows your progress ("3 of 9 done"), and ticking one off gives a satisfying tap. • Look up a flight straight from the keyboard's Search key. • Clearer messages when destination data isn't available, a search field that matches the app's glass look, and respect for the system's Reduce Motion setting. iCloud sync now works. • Fixed a long-standing issue that prevented PreBrief from syncing your trips through iCloud. Trips now sync across your iPhone and iPad, and the "iCloud sync is off" notice clears once you're signed in to iCloud. No new permissions. Same private, no-sign-in design.

Your trips are safer. • If iCloud sync is ever unavailable, PreBrief now keeps your trips saved on your device instead of risking them — and tells you plainly when sync is off versus when storage is unavailable, so a degraded state is never silent. See more before you subscribe. • The destination card now gives free travellers a real taste — your arrival currency shows up before you upgrade, alongside a clear preview of everything Plus adds (arrival weather, visa & entry rules, plug type & eSIM, local advisories). • The Plus screen now reflects the full picture: destination briefing, aircraft & route captain's notes, the in-flight companion, and time-to-leave alerts — with the annual plan's per-month price shown up front so the savings are obvious. Polish and accuracy pass. • Restore Purchases now confirms the result — you'll see whether your subscription was restored or whether there was nothing to restore, instead of the button appearing to do nothing. • Refreshed a few in-app tips that had fallen out of date: the flight-lookup coverage note, the passenger-rights coverage summary (which now reflects the Canada APPR and Brazil ANAC frameworks already built in), and the departure-planning guidance. Broader visa coverage on the destination card. PreBrief now bundles passport-aware visa rules for 18 passports (up from 8) — added Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian, Mexican, Korean, Indonesian, Thai, and Russian. Plus subscribers travelling on any of those passports now see visa-required, e-visa, visa-on-arrival, and visa-free verdicts on the destination card. The destination card also gained a small "Visa rules as of YYYY-MM — verify with the destination embassy" caption whenever a visa requirement applies, so you always know when the data was last reviewed.

Broader bundled coverage across the board: • Passport picker + destination briefing now cover 149 countries (up from 69) — meaningful additions across Africa, Central Asia, the Caribbean, the Pacific, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.
