Swig is the app for the smart drinking-game device. Connect to your Swig via Bluetooth, aim for the best time or the exact fill amount, and take on your friends solo or in teams. No Swig on hand? You can also play completely without one and type in the values yourself.
GAME MODES
Speed
Who empties their glass fastest? Swig measures time and volume down to the millisecond and calculates your drinking speed in ml per second. Highest value wins.
Precision
You set a target amount - for example 50 ml. Whoever gets closest wins. The app shows the exact deviation in ml and crowns the most accurate player.
Blackjack
Drink your way to the target, just like in card Blackjack. You set a target amount (for example 200 ml). Everyone drinks in turn, then each player decides for themselves: one more sip (Hit) or stay (Stand). Go over the target and you're out. Whoever ends up closest without going over wins. Everyone decides privately on their own phone - no one sees the others' status.
Tag-Team
Form two teams and go head to head. You drink in turns, and the team average counts - so teams don't have to be the same size. Works with Speed and Precision.
WITH ONE OR MORE DEVICES
Single Swig: one device, everyone drinks one after another. Perfect for a relaxed round.
Multi Swig: One host connects to several devices - so everyone has their own Swig without passing a device around. You can drink in turns or all at once - with a simultaneous start, everyone goes at the same time.
PLAY WITHOUT A SWIG
No Swig on hand? Play anyway. Start a regular online game and just type in the amounts instead of measuring them. Lobby, friends, guests, live spectating, history, and stats all work just like usual - only without a device. Great for trying things out - in Precision mode.
WATCH LIVE
Get invited into a round by a friend and follow along in real time - even from a distance, since everything runs through the server. Whoever isn't up sees live who's playing and what phase the round is in. For Tag-Team, teams are shown grouped.
HISTORY & STATS
Every game is saved. Filter by Speed, Precision, Blackjack, Tag-Team, or "Without Swig." Personal bests, win streaks, and achievements are always a tap away.
FRIENDS & CONNECTIONS
Connect with your friends via a personal invite link - just share it, the other person confirms. Your profiles and stats stay in sync through your account - without having to be online at the same time. Invite friends straight into a game round - they get notified and are live once they join.
ACTIVITY FEED
See what your friends are up to at a glance: wins, freshly unlocked achievements, and new friendships appear right on your home screen. Tap a friend's win to open the full game history with all results. You decide whether your activity is shared - switch it off any time in the settings.
CUSTOMIZABLE
Pick your color theme, set up your profile with a photo, and adjust the player colors. Your Swig glows in the active player's color and shows the winning team at the end of the round.
PRIVACY
For your account, friends, and cross-device sync, Swig uses its own server. Sign-in runs through "Sign in with Apple"; your profile, games, and stats are stored with your account. Activity is shared only with your friends and can be turned off any time. No ads, no tracking, no sharing with third parties for advertising. Details in the privacy policy.
Please enjoy responsibly. Swig is for people aged 18 and over. Speed, Blackjack, and Multi-Swig require a Swig device - the "Without Swig" mode (Precision) can be played without any hardware.
Ratings & Reviews

Language
- Swig in English: The app is now bilingual (EN/DE) and follows your iPhone's language. Switch it per app under Settings > Apps > Swig > Language.
- Your Swig speaks up: The device's display text now follows the app language, set when you connect (firmware update required).
- Notifications in your language: Push messages (invites, friend requests/accepts) now arrive in the recipient's app language.
Device & Connection
- Screen stays on: The Swig's display no longer turns off during a game.
- More stable connection: Bluetooth keeps running in the background - the connection holds even if the app was briefly away.
- Screen lock is no problem: If the host locks their phone (or gets a call), everything keeps running and catches up on missed steps when unlocked.
- Live weigh: See the current weight live (in the edit screen) - unlocked only after calibrating. Never shows a negative value.
Gameplay
- Drink target right in the lobby: For Precision and Blackjack invites, you now see the target (e.g. "Target 50 ml") right in the waiting view.
- Fairer Blackjack: Players who bust are only revealed after everyone has chosen "Hit or Stand" - no more advantage for going last. If the winner is already decided, it jumps straight to the result.
- Blackjack invites now correctly show "Blackjack" instead of "Precision."
- "End round" now takes you back to game selection instead of all the way to the start.
- More compact date display in game history.
- Polish in the live view: cleaner hints and consistent cancel dialogs.
Achievements
- Cleaner and fairer: Speed achievements now have sensible thresholds (Turbo → Speed-Demon → Sonic Boom → Speed of Light), sorted by difficulty within each category.
- "The first step is the hardest" now unlocks on your first loss - previously unobtainable if you won your very first game. All achievements are now reachable.
- "Loyal Hound" now unlocks for playing on 30 different days - with a progress bar.
Play without a Swig
- No Swig on hand? Play anyway! Start a regular online game and just type in the amounts instead of measuring. Lobby, friends, guests, live spectating, history, and stats all work as usual. (In Precision mode.)
- While typing, the keyboard stays open and jumps automatically to the next value and player, with the drink target always in view.
- Easy to spot in history: no-Swig games have their own icon on the card, a "Without Swig" filter, and a note on the win in the feed.
Friends & Profiles
- Profiles right in the app: Tap names in the activity feed or players in a game to open their profile.
- Friend requests without an invite link: Send a request straight from someone's profile - and accept, decline, or block, all in one place. Tapping the notification opens the profile directly, too.
- Requests can be withdrawn any time.
Activity Feed
- Tap a friend's win to open the full game history - with all players, results, and teams.
- Remembers guests: Recently used guests are suggested during setup under "Recently used" - add them with the +, forget them with a long press.
- Feed polish: subtler tap feedback on the cards.
- Tidier feed: Duplicate "... are now friends" entries no longer appear.
More
- No more false "Action failed" message when closing a lobby.
- Various stability and detail improvements.
