A NEW LOOK, GAME BY GAME. We are moving Halved to a new design, starting with leaderboards and lock screens. The new boards show where every hole went and end with one clear ledger of who is up, and the rules you agreed to sit at the top, so nobody has to ask. More games will follow. ANNANDALE FRIDAY. A new game for a group of five or six on one card. Split into teams and every team plays the others in its own Nassau, with presses, scored from one screen. Skins, Spots and Stroke Play can run alongside it. COURSES NEAR ME. Tap "Courses near me" under the search box and Halved lists the ten closest, nearest first, with the distance beside each. It reads your approximate location only when you tap that button, never in the background, and does not keep it. Say no and nothing else changes: type a name the way you always have. ONE HANDICAP BASIS FOR THE WHOLE FIELD. A tournament now declares the tee its handicaps are figured from, so every golfer's strokes come off one reference instead of shifting with whoever is in his group. You set it where you assign tees, and a course remembers its own, so casual rounds get it too. SKINS • Set what it takes to win a skin: a net par or better, a gross par or better, or let a gross birdie steal the hole • A skin's value now reads the way you think of it: five golfers at $5 is a $25 skin ALSO • Rabbit can carry: a rabbit nobody holds rolls into the next one, if you turn it on • Team events with a big field load much faster • The leaderboard no longer goes missing after you complete a Foursome Play round • A round no longer warns about missing scores that are only waiting to sync • A side game now keeps its own stake, separate from the main game's • My Golfers says when it last synced from Golf Genius and what changed • Course search reads better: "The Bridges" no longer hides as "Bridges (The)", and if the course database cannot be reached, the list says so • The greenie's full rule now reads on the setup screens: on the green from the tee, closest to the hole, and a par

Say what you are playing for before anyone tees off. SPOTS — named, not just counted. Halved used to tally your extras without knowing what they were, so the argument on the 18th was never "how many did he have" but "we weren't playing pollies". Now the group ticks the list when the game is set up: greenie, sandy, poley, chippy, barky, Hogan and snake, with anything else going in as Other — the list belongs to your group, not to us. On the hole, tap + Spots beside a golfer and tick what he made, one of each per hole. Birdies and eagles are read off the card and never entered; an eagle counts two and does not stack with the birdie. A snake counts against you. The leaderboard names them, so a total reads "chippy on 2, birdie on 2, greenie on 7" rather than a number nobody can check. THE GREENIE CARRIES. Par 3s only, and one winner or nobody. Three things at once: on the green in one from the tee, closest to the hole, and a par. So closest and then three putts pays nobody. When no one keeps it, it rolls to the next par 3 worth double, and again after that. Miss the last par 3 of the round and it is void. Correct a score later and every par 3 after it moves to match. SKINS JUNK — the same list, the same sheet. A junk is still worth a skin, and the two carries run separately: a tied hole carries the skin, an unclaimed par 3 carries the greenie, and either can happen without the other. Rounds already played keep the junk they were settled with. HOT SPOT IS NOW HOT SEAT. The same game — one golfer anchors the hole and his score counts whatever it is, and the seat rotates. Only the name moved. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • 40 Balls two figures ask different questions now: one is pace — how many a hole to reach 40, and how many of the 40 are chosen — and the other is where you stand, net and balls to spare • Hot Seat can be set as a Road Trip game • A round plays one group game. Irish Rumble, Better Ball, Hot Seat and 40 Balls rank the same groups the same way, so choosing a second one now turns the first off instead of quietly running both • + Spots and + Junk read as buttons, and are easier to hit • Sixes picks the same opening pair however the groups were entered

Golf on your own, and two games that now ask the group instead of deciding for it. PLAYING ALONE — three games where the opponent is par. Stroke Play is your net total against it. Nassau plays the front nine, the back nine and all 18 as three matches against it. Match Play is one eighteen-hole match, with the closing score shown when it is settled early. One slider sets how many strokes you take — below or above your full handicap, because nobody is paying — and the card marks every hole you won against par and every hole it won against you. Turn presses on and a new match opens whenever either side goes two down: par presses back, so a practice round plays like a full match against a scratch player. SIX'S — the group picks the second match. The teams used to be drawn when the game was set up and the slot machine only uncovered them. Now, when the first match is decided, the two remaining pairings are on screen: spin for one, or set them yourself. The third match is whatever is left, so everybody partners everybody exactly once. MULTI-GROUP SKINS — say who shares a scorecard. A pool spread over a dozen foursomes is mostly golfers playing on their own card, but the few who are out together want one between them so somebody keeps the score. You set that when the round is created and change it from the round's own page afterwards, and a golfer who turns up on the first tee can be added to a card of his own without disturbing anybody who has teed off. A guest with no account can play in the pool as long as somebody on his card is keeping score. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • The app opens straight away even when the network is slow to answer, rather than waiting on it before drawing anything • Starting a round on your own is two steps — there is nobody to pick • A scorecard's names stay put when you scroll it sideways, on every board in the app, and each opens on the hole you are playing • Every card shows the nine totals you would write on paper • Three handicap strokes on a hole are drawn as three, not two

Three new ways to run an event. 40 BALLS — a foursome gets 40 balls for the round and a threesome 30, and spends them hole by hole AFTER the scores are in. Two balls on a hole counts the best two nets against two pars; spend four on the one everybody birdied and the closing stretch is thin. The group sees what it has and decides what each hole is worth. The budget is what you started with — losing a player does not reduce it. DREAM ROUND — the best score on every hole number, across every round of the event. Eighteen bests make a card. Scored against that round's par, so two courses can be compared, with gross and net ranked and paid separately. Every improvement shows on the board as it lands. ROAD TRIP — several courses over several days, with the best rounds counting. Net and Gross each pick their own best, scored to par so a hard course is not a penalty. A round still being played can never knock out a finished one, and a golfer who can no longer reach the count is shown rather than hidden. WATCH ANY GAME — send someone the round link and they can follow along in a browser with no app. Survivor, Rabbit, Honors, Spots, Fourball, Triple Nassau, Better Ball, Sequoya 3s, Quota Nassau, Banker and Foursome Play all have a page of their own now, so nothing you can start opens a link that shows nothing. TRIPLE CUP • One handicap allowance per segment — 90% in the four-balls, 40% of the combined handicaps in alternate shot, full index in the singles, all settable • The allowances belong to the cup, so a multi-day event uses one set • Every match says what it is played off, on the screen you score on • The phantom has a row on the scorecard, so you can see what it made without going back a hole • A mid-round withdrawal is answered per segment: the alternate-shot survivor plays off twice his handicap, and a singles side plays two matches against one ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • Flights are asked for in the create wizard and cut when the tournament is created, rather than waiting on the championship screen — and once the cut is taken it can no longer be re-cut out from under golfers already playing • Quota Nassau can be picked again — the mixed-cup planner had dropped it, so it could not be reached at all • Pink Ball has a scorecard, names the carrier once instead of twice, and its rotation follows position in the round rather than hole number • The standing bar reaches the cup and tournament screens • Set the tee times from the round hub — one time propagates to the groups below it • Stroke dots on the holes still to come in Fourball and Multi-Group Skins, so you can see where your strokes fall before you get there • Invite a watcher from the score entry screen, not only the leaderboard • A halved Sixes match now counts as finished, so the round no longer sticks • Five screens were showing the wrong golfer's par and stroke index • Scorecards with an OUT column scroll every time, not only the first • Shotgun starts: a position marker on every screen that names a hole, and the withdrawal rule and hole numbering in Skins, 40 Balls and Spots now count the holes actually played

What's New (v2.9.1) Where you stand, without leaving the hole. THE STANDING BAR — every game now carries a second line under its title: where you stand this second, and a Leaderboard button that says so in a word instead of an icon. Each game answers the question it actually makes you ask on the tee — your match in Sixes and Fourball, your place in Stroke Play and Stableford, your points in Wolf and 5-3-1, who is holding it in Rabbit, whether you are still in it in Survivor. Tournaments answer it against the whole field. BETTER BALL — the best of your team's balls counts on every hole, with the count fixed for the round and named in the title. Irish Rumble's engine, held still. FLIGHTS — cut one field into two by index, each flight ranked and paid on its own board. The cut is previewed before it is taken, and frozen once it is. MORE LOCK SCREEN CARDS — Stableford, Stroke Play, Points 5-3-1, Wolf, Las Vegas, Triple Nassau and Triple Cup join the ones already there, and every card now tells you when you are getting a stroke on the hole you are walking to. Each signs off with the result at the end of the round. SCORECARDS • Names stay put when you scroll — the label column no longer slides away • Every card opens on the hole you are playing, not on the 1st • OUT, IN and TOT on every scorecard in the app • All your strokes show as dots, not just the first two • A chip names which tee each hole plays from on a combo set ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • Correct a wrong tee or a wrong playing handicap through the first three holes, with one step back — the round rescores itself • Shotgun starts corrected throughout: how far you are through, close-outs and cup points all count the holes actually played • Stableford tournaments show their points on the round board • Favorites and search in the golfer picker, so the same four are one tap away • A finished round always opens its scorecard, never a setup screen

Two new games. BANKER — one golfer banks the hole and the other three take him on, each in their own match. Name a maximum on the tee, then double on your own shot, or counter all three at once. Strokes come off inside each match, so the banker can be giving a shot in one and taking one in another on the same hole. A full receipt at the end, hole by hole. SEQUOYA 3s — six three-hole matches with partners rotating every third hole, so you play alongside everybody twice. Presses, an automatic press, and a settle-up that shows every match that made the difference. Both games run on your lock screen while you play. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • Favorites in the golfer picker — flag the people you always play with and find them first • Survivor rebuilt: clearer score entry, a card that fits the lock screen, and Zombie mode on the board • Lock screen cards for singles matches and fourballs • Force a playing handicap when the group is scoring off an outside card • Faster scorecards, and the label column stays put when you scroll

Your lock screen keeps the match now. • The match on your lock screen — Sixes, Skins, Nassau and Rabbit put a live board on your lock screen and Dynamic Island: the number that matters, who is up, and what the hole is worth. It updates as the group scores. • It reaches the whole group, not just the scorer. Whoever is keeping the card already knows the state — everyone else was the one who needed it. The board now appears for every golfer in the round, and for anyone you have invited to watch, without them opening anything. • A rebuilt Skins board — it names who is winning and how far back you are, in skins rather than a placing. When a carry finally breaks it leads with the golfer who took it. Pool games show what a skin is worth right now, and junk points count as what they are: an equal share of the same pot. • Sixes score entry is tidier — shorter match cards, and the scorecard now sits under them so you can read the holes you just played without leaving the screen. • The draw stays a draw — the leaderboard no longer shows the pairings for matches 2 and 3 before the group has spun for them. • Inviting a watcher is quicker — search your golfers by name or number, and filter to the ones already on Halved.

Team tournaments, and a rebuilt tournament for individual play: • Team tournaments — run a Saturday scramble or shamble with as many teams as you like, all on one leaderboard. Pick the format, decide whether every golfer has to give a drive, and Halved works each team's allowance from the tees you set and shows it applied to your own teams before you commit. • Two-golfer teams — the same event for pairs, with five formats: scramble, best ball, alternate shot, Scotch and Chapman. Two pairs go off together on one tee time with one card, scored apart. Each format sets its own allowance, and every one is shown before you choose so you can see that the same two golfers get four strokes in a scramble and twelve in an alternate shot. • Alternate shot keeps the order for you — the pair sets who tees on the odd holes before the first shot, and the card names the tee on every hole after that. • Individual tournaments, rebuilt — a clearer eight-step setup, best-N-of-M scoring across rounds, a Mini Singles bracket in every group, an optional final-round day bet, and a settlement screen that shows exactly who owes whom and why, game by game. • Survivor's Zombie Option — switch it on and a knocked-out golfer plays on as the Zombie. Beat the field on the next hole and you are back in. • Better sharing — a shared round link now opens a real page with the scorecard on it, and previews with a proper card instead of a bare link. Fixes • A scramble round can be completed. One score per hole meant the round never read as finished, so it could not be closed out. • Every stroke a team receives now shows on the card. A hole carrying three strokes was drawing the same single mark as a hole carrying one. • Tee sheets name the event and list who is in each group. • A new tournament starts as an individual event rather than a cup.

A brand-new game, and a cup that's easier to build: • Survivor — a new game for three players. Everyone plays the hole and the worst score is knocked out; the two left standing then play the next hole head-to-head to take it. Win one and a fresh Survivor starts on the very next hole, so a full round can play out up to nine of them. Net, gross or strokes-off-the-low-player, and the group chat calls each result as it lands. • A rebuilt cup setup — choose the games and points round by round, with a plan that shows what's still to fill in before you can start. Mixed formats in one cup are now the default, with the classic Triple Cup a one-tap preset. • Clearer cup leaderboards — see where every stroke falls before you play the hole, with singles strokes anchored on the pairing you're actually against. • Rabbit — handicap strokes now stay exactly where they were set at the start of the round; a leg that's already won is called out instead of looking live; and the leaderboard shows the full scorecard with each hole's winner highlighted. • Sixes — corrected the stroke dots on holes handed from one match to the next. • Bigger type, intact layouts — very large system font sizes no longer push screens out of shape. • Fixes — the keyboard can always be dismissed when adding or searching for players, so the button underneath is never out of reach.

New in 2.5.1 • Triple Nassau — a brand-new game. Play three 1-on-1 Nassaus at once (you against each of the other three). One setup, per-pair handicaps, and a dedicated screen showing every match, its presses, and who owes whom. • Sixes team draws — let the slot machine pick your partners. Draw the Segment 1 teams at setup, watch the Segment 2 pairing reveal itself at the turn, and draw the teams for an extra match too. Prefer to choose? Just drag. • A cleaner Rounds list — every round is now a tidy card with the game, live progress, your score, and the money you won or lost. A new filter keeps rounds you played separate from ones you're just watching. • Rabbit improvements — extra "rabbits" when a leg ends early, fairer handicap allocation, and clearer wording when a hole is halved. • Stroke Play, your way — view the leaderboard as Gross, Net, or Strokes-off. • Polish & fixes — Cup match cards tinted by the leading team, more reliable course adds with clearer errors, and assorted layout fixes.
