TEMPO-1 is a focused drum machine for fast beat making, deep groove control, live capture, resampling, and finishing ideas anywhere.
Start with a 12-voice workstation: Kick, Snare, Closed Hat, Open Hat, Clap, Tom, Cymbal, Perc, Keys, Bass, Synth, and Sounds. Tap out ideas on the pads, choose sounds quickly, shape each voice, build patterns, route effects, and keep the rhythm moving from the first touch.
The sequencer is built for feel. Create patterns up to 64 steps, then shape each step with velocity, probability, microtiming, ratchets, and pitch. Push hits ahead or behind the grid, add rolls, thin out busy parts, and turn programmed rhythms into grooves with movement. Step zoom gives you a clear focused view for detailed editing, while full-grid editing keeps larger patterns easy to scan.
Pitch control is immediate and musical. Keep pitch off for classic drum-machine behavior, or enable per-voice pitch snap with chromatic, major, or minor modes. Use consistent pitch ranges across samples, kick, and tom, then adjust pitch while sounds are ringing for hands-on performance and sound design.
Sound design stays fast. Use modeled drums, bundled samples, imported user WAVs, and per-voice Crush shaping. Browse Factory sounds, user banks, and imported files, preview sounds in place, commit them into reusable slots, rename tracks with the custom keyboard, and quickly build your own kits.
TEMPO-1 is also built for resampling. Bounce voices into new samples, capture live performances, preview captures, and bounce captures directly to pads with slot and name selection. It is designed to make sound design feel like part of beat making, not a separate task.
For mixing and movement, TEMPO-1 includes level, pan, mute, solo, master controls, meters, and flexible FX routing. Shape patterns with Phaser, Slicer, Delay, Reverb, Filter, and Master controls, then automate voice, mixer, FX, delay time, and master parameters for evolving grooves. The large TAP control lets you audition the current sound while adjusting effects.
TEMPO-1 fits into a wider music setup too. Use MIDI learn to map pads, transport, mixer, BPM, FX, routing, and continuous controls. Run TEMPO-1 as an AUv3 in supported hosts, capture live performances as WAV, export loops as WAV, or export patterns as MIDI when you want to move into a DAW.
