Create session types with an explained walkthrough or add them manually. Save your changes and open the matching online booking settings directly. New session types stay calendar-only until you enable online booking. Clearer guidance and safer saving, client history, and map previews.

Create a gallery for a session straight from the session's own screen. Booking requests that are past their date are now listed apart from pending ones. Fixes a crash when deleting a session type, and a case where adding one could leave you with a duplicate. Signing in with Google no longer hangs if the app moves to the background partway through. The agenda opens on today after a cold launch, and a day with no sessions of its own now names the multi-day session still covering it. A location containing an ampersand now opens the right place in Maps, and repeated location suggestions are gone.

Send a contract or an invoice straight from a client, or from a saved session — the ShootCal website opens with everything already filled in. Your client's contracts and their status now appear right on the client, so you can see what's signed without leaving the app. Plus a refreshed accent color and general polish.

Fixes in this update: Your client list could stop loading and show a Google Contacts error. It now loads correctly. ShootCal could show you as signed out of Google after the app had been open for a while, and only force quitting brought it back. It now reconnects on its own. A brief network or server problem no longer signs you out of your Google account.

Fixes a sign-in issue where the app could appear signed out when returning from the background until it was force-quit and reopened. Also brings clearer Save and Send Invoice actions in the event editor, improved disabled-button feedback, email validation before calendar saves, and a refreshed adaptive ShootCal color palette.

When you add a booking request to your calendar, you can now choose the session type (book it as any type you like) and pick from golden hour and studio time slots for the day you select, right in the Add to Calendar window.

Connecting Wave or QuickBooks is clearer now. You start the connection from ShootCal on the web, and once it's linked the app shows "Wave connected" (or QuickBooks) right in Settings, with a link to manage it online. Paid invoices still mark a booking's deposit as received automatically.

Deleting a repeating event now offers this occurrence or the entire series. Closing the event editor with unsaved changes now asks first. VoiceOver can now read the calendar, and the month grid respects your text size setting. Better handling of expired Google sign-ins, more reliable client deletion and booking actions, and dozens of small wording improvements.

Calendar invites are now built in: book a client who has an email and ShootCal sends them a Google Calendar invite, with their accepted or declined reply shown right on the event. Pick which session types send invites under Session Types, and turn it off for ones like weddings. You can now also mark a session as having no deposit straight from Reports, which clears it from your pending list without emailing the client. The event editor is simpler too, with the invite handled for you.

First-run setup now offers a quick link to the Help Center so it is easier to learn ShootCal, plus small refinements under the hood.

Faster startup: your calendar now shows the current month right away and loads the rest in the background, so there's no more waiting on a big sync when you open the app. Includes minor reliability fixes.

Your to-dos now sync everywhere. Follow-ups and tasks are powered by Google Tasks, so they stay in sync across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and the web, all in your own Google account. Manage your booking requests right in the app. Clients & Booking now has a Requests and Clients switcher, so you can accept or decline inquiries and jump to your client list in one place. Reply to an inquiry with a prefilled message, or decline several requests at once. Your settings also re-sync when you return to the app, so changes made on another device show up sooner. Plus a round of polish and reliability fixes across booking and the calendar.

Scheduling and online booking got a big upgrade. • Per-type timing: golden-hour session types auto-fill start times around your local sunset or sunrise, studio types fill your working hours, and you can also set a fixed time or all-day per type. • Per-type booking rules: choose request-to-book or instant booking, and set a price, minimum notice, how far ahead clients can book, which weekdays are open, and a daily limit, each per session type. • Tap a suggested time slot right from the new event screen. • Set your own default reply for declining a request, and choose per type whether a calendar invite is sent when a client books. • Show or hide prep notes and location on your booking page, field by field. • Clearer wording so weddings and personal events read naturally. • Fixes and polish throughout.
