• Is it safe? Additives, concerning or restricted ingredients, and EU-banned substances, flagged clearly, with a plain-English profile for every additive.

Our scores are built on published research and regulator data, not opinions. Every result traces back to the ingredients and nutrition on the label, and the methodology is in the app for you to read, not a verdict you have to trust blindly.
◆ HOW IT WORKS
1. Set up your profile: allergies, diet and goals (one per family member).
2. Scan a barcode, or photograph the label if we don't have the product yet.
3. Get a 0–100 score, the plain-English "why", and a better swap if there's a stronger option.
◆ HONEST ABOUT HOW WE WORK
"Better swap" links may earn Baseline a commission. Swaps are ranked by the same 0–100 score every product gets, never by what pays us. The methodology is the product; the affiliate relationship never moves a score.

A: Nutrition against your goals, additives and their evidence, processing level, and personal fit (allergies, diet). The "why" shows exactly which factors moved the number.
Q: What if a product isn't in your database?
A: Scan it anyway. The app asks for a photo of the nutrition panel and ingredients and scores it on the spot.
Q: Do I have to type anything in?
A: Just scan. Your profile, set once, does the rest.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription auto-renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

- The scan camera recovers on its own if it stalls, and the shutter always responds.
- Nutrition panels now show values per 100 g with the printed serving listed separately, so comparisons are fair.
- Recalls in your pantry now include notices matched by barcode, and stay listed for the full 90 days.
- A scan that could not be scored no longer appears as scored on Home, and every product screen has a way back.
- Onboarding examples are now real products with their current scores, additive details and seed-oil checks.
