Button labels on the home screen no longer break in the middle of a word. On narrower phones TUTORIAL was showing up split across two lines.

Fixed a bug that left the home screen blank on larger tablets. If you play on one, this is the update you want. Notifications no longer create an empty profile for players who chose to stay guests. Fewer harmless network hiccups get reported as errors, so real problems are easier for us to spot and fix.

Fixed a crash that could close the game the moment it opened on some phones. The leaderboard and your profile now offer a Try Again button when the connection drops, instead of leaving you stuck on an error you cannot get past.

Challenge a friend by name. The invite reaches them right away, and accepting drops you both straight into the duel. Notifications now work for guest players too, so an invite finds you even when the app is closed. Fixed a win screen that said you emptied your stock first when the duel was actually decided on the tiebreak.

Ranked duels now score against your real opponent rating, so beating a stronger player is worth more than beating a weaker one. Lightning fires on every SPEED, not only the ones you tap. Sound effects have their own switch inside a duel, and you can rate the game from Settings. Fixed a crash some players hit on launch, fixed a case where leaving a duel could record both a win and a loss, and the match screen is now fully translated. Smaller download too.

Menus and lists now fade softly at the top and bottom as you scroll, so nothing gets cut off against an edge. Very large text sizes are handled everywhere. Fonts now ship inside the app, so everything looks right the moment it opens, even with no connection. Plus a round of stability fixes under the hood.

Push notifications now work on iPhone, so a challenge from a friend actually reaches you. Settings has a new Notifications switch, plus a shortcut to the system settings if you turned notifications off earlier. Settings also shows the app version now, which helps when you report a problem. Small fixes along the way.

Fixed a rare crash that could happen during an online match. Finding a match now shows a quick lightning flourish the moment your duel is ready. A few small fixes and improvements.

Only online matches now count toward your ranking, so the board reflects real duels. A new in-app guide explains how Elo ranking works. Plus small fixes and polish.

Bug fixes and performance improvements.

• See how many other players are online, right from the home screen. • Smoother Find a Match experience, with an option to invite a friend. • New sound-effects toggle in Settings. • Polish and stability improvements.

• Opponent's cards are now face-up (open hand), like real Speed. • SPEED only triggers when BOTH players are stuck. • Drag a card onto a pile to play; tap the bolt button to refill your hand. • If you hold the only move, your card shakes to remind you; in online play a quick move-timer keeps matches flowing. • Comfier layout — the centre piles sit closer to your hand for easier dragging.
