1983 is a vocabulary map. Every word in the catalogue is placed in two dimensions: intensity (from mild to extreme) and nuance (the axis that distinguishes near-synonyms). Open a cluster — say, "Shades of Anger" — and you see the entire neighborhood at a glance: irked vs incandescent vs apoplectic, all mapped, all clickable.
The catalogue is curated, not crawled: 1,863 words across 208 clusters and 15 superclusters, each definition hand-written, each example pulled from public-domain literature or anchored in mythology. No filler, no near-duplicates.
